Alex hadn't even gotten halfway through the corridor before he could hear the loud and abnoxious screaming from the classroom. Class 3 A.
The system of which people were placed into classes went according to their rank as a mystic in the world and their personal identity as a member of society. The rankings were determined from aspects such as strength, speed, power, potential and intelligence. Each person had taken a test, before attending the school to assort each student into this ranking system. They called it the project "ISIS". S-rank meaning that you are part of the most elite and then D-rank meaning that you aren't much value. Of course there was the anomaly section where Special-grade rank meant that you were above S-rank, but they aren't registered as they are spread out into the classes. Alex was in the A-rank class, the second highest rank. Second to S-rank. The rank that would follow would be B, then C and then the lowest being D-rank. The noise had gotten unbearable by the time he reached the door. He grabbed the door knob, twisting it and slowly opening the door to peak through.

"Oi!! Alex, it's me Albert! I left you a seat here," said Albert waving his hand at the door.

A sense of awkwardness sank into Alex's body as he gave an awkward wave back and walked into the classroom as now eyes were on him.

He sat down next to Albert, trying to keep calm and he whispered to Albert,"What was all the noise about?"

Albert pointed a vigorous finger at two people seating near the front. One was tall, weirdly tall, about 6ft. He had been seated. He had messy locks of ginger hair, pale skin. Ember eyes which gave him an edge and his hair was brushed off to the side to cover his right eye. He was staring out the window as if completely oblivious to the man who stood infront of his desk shouting at him. He was shorter than the other guy was, had a wicked grin of annoyance on his face and his pupils were split. He had lazy, thick hair which flung around like a mop on his head, he had a darker skin complexion and his eyes were a grey colour.
"Did you not hear me?! That is my desk!!!" he shouted at the guy who sat down and continued to stare out the window.

"Who are they?" asked Alex leaning back on his chair.

"Guy who's shouting is Colby, he's a warlock. They are kinda like the male version of witches," explained Albert.

"I thought those were called wizards," whispered Alex.

"Same here, but apparently that is an entire different category of mage."

"And the guy who's ignoring him?"

"That's David Jaegerjaquez," sighed Albert, another wave of annoyance riddled the atmosphere of the class.
"He's Katherine's brother," he continued.

Alex's eyes instantly moved to him, the third year who was the very first special-grade recorded in the school's history in years, the one who Kevin claimed to be the strongest out of all of the special grades. That was him... his appearance was quite disappointing though.

"So that's Katherine's brother, wait... where's Katherine?" asked Alex.

"Look behind you."

Alex turned to see at the far corner, much like her brother, Katherine's gaze was out of the classroom to nature outside. Seemingly unbothered by the ruckus.

"Why does she always seem so angry?" he thought to himself. He found himself staring at her and his eyes shifted to the front again.

The noise had gotten worse and defeaning, it was now ridiculous. Colby continued shouting frantically, "If you don't move out of this seat I'll-"

"What will you do?"
David's voice was something unnatural, a deep voice filled with a calmness, yet so much malice in his words. As if every single syllable he released was a threat. His tone alone rumbled the class. His stare fixated on Colby now.
