Dae-hyun woke up with a headache, probably because of the wound he got. His left shoulder was also hurting very bad, also because of last night. He got up to get ready for school, it was his first day and he didn't wanted to be late. "Wake up you useless",his dad said opening the door. "I'm already" Dae-hyun said with a chuckle. He had a cheerful personality after all, which he didn't wanted to lose. His dad came and grabbed his jaw,"You're laughing at me, no food today", he said as he threw Dae-hyun on bed and went out, tears welled up in his eyes. He was treated very bad since he was in first grade as he was not a good student. He was good at cooking and wanted to open a restaurant, but his parents think he is useless as he is not good at academics.
Dae-hyun got up and got ready for school. "It's okay, you're strong" he said to himself looking in the mirror and went out .
As he took his first step in the school he heard a voice of a girl running towards him.
"Hey, in which sec?", Chang-min said approaching him, "D" Dae-hyun replied. "I'm in C" Chang-min said in a sad tone, "recess exist" He said with a chuckle. "You were different yesterday" Chang-min said underneath her breath but he heard it and said,"I had a fight with my parents"." Oh, sorry" Chang-min said,"But let me give you a tour to cheer you up" Chang-min exclaimed. "Fine" he said and they set off.Dae-hyun's first day went pretty well without any bullying like his previous school but the real struggle was at home.
He was walking to home with Chang-min as her elder sister was out of station for a quiz contest. "You're very lucky to have parents that don't hit you" Dae-hyun said making Chang-min frozen at place, "What happened?" he asked, "Are you okay?" he asked again making Chang-min burst in tears and fall on her knees. "Oh my God, what happened?!" He said as he sat down facing her. "My dad loves me but my m-mom, she hits me, scolds me too" She said sobbing. "I'm sorry for mentioning this" Dae-hyun said patting her after helping her to stand.
They continued to walk with silence. Soon it was time for separating paths.
"Take care of yourself" Dae-hyun said as he went another way leaving a sad Chang-min behind him. When he was out of Chang-min's sight she said in a small voice, "you too" before walking towards her home.
Dae-hyun's POV
Her parents are also like mine, no, I think only her mom is like that because she said her dad loves her. Atleast she has someone beside her but even my dad doesn't love me. I hope I could change things. I just hope both of us make out through this. I was lost I didn't realised when I reached home.
Dae-hyun's POV endAs he stepped inside he was greeted by a slap from his mom. "Why are you so late?" She said, "Mom, my school was not really far from home in Busan but here it is. It's not my fault." Dae-hyun replied. "So is it my fault, can't you just tell me the reason. Why do you need to add extra things everywhere. Go to your room and don't come out" Mrs Park spoke as she went to her room.
Dae-hyun also went inside his room and closed the door. He sat by the door and began crying."Why am I so unlucky? Why do I have to suffer from the dawn to the dusk without any break? "He said sobbing
Meanwhile Chang-min's condition was also no better. She was also laying on her bed with her face buried in pillow while she shed tears.
"Why am I so unlucky? Why do I have to endure all the pain?"
They both were in a very bad condition. Both of their eyes were swollen.
"I can't give up, it's a fight ahead" they both said at different places but same time.
