"Mr Kim, I think you had called me?"
Dae-hyun said standing on the door of Mr Kim's office.
"Yes, come in"
Mr Kim said.
"I called you here because tomorrow your results are out, so we will decide which college you're going to in Canada"
He stated, as Dae-hyun stood there frozen.
"C-college"
Dae-hyun stuttered, he wasn't able to process what just happened.
"Yes, and are you planning to stand forever?"
Mr Kim said in a sarcastic manner, which Dae-hyun understood and quickly sat on the chair placed on opposite side of table.
He was now facing Mr Kim, the man he was going to work for.
"So now, before you go to college I want to tell you something"
Mr Kim said with a sigh.
Dae-hyun straightened his posture, being eager to listen what his employer was going to say.
"Dae-hyun, you're just a boy right now but one day you'll be one of the people I am"
Mr Kim said, rotating his chair as his gaze fixed on the photo which was of his with his daughters, placed on table.
"W-what do you mean?"
Dae-hyun asked stuttering.
"One day, you will be as old as me,but don't mistakes I did"
Mr Kim said,more like warning him about his future.
"You know Dae-hyun,what you want to do for your bachelors?"
Mr Kim asked all of a sudden,Dae-hyun didn't even thought he will be facing this question.
He didn't knew the answer to the most important question of his life!
"I don't know"
He muttered,head hanging low.
"Do you like writing, besides photography?"
Mr Kim asked as Dae-hyun nodded.
"So why do you want to be a photographer?"
Mr Kim interrogated.
"I wanted to earn money and because I capturing things around me whether in words or pictures"
Dae-hyun replied.
"So what about doing B.M.M? It's good for both of your interests and then you can choose among all the career options after three years"
Mr Kim explained Dae-hyun, hoping he would understand and he did.
"I will take B.M.M,but can we wait for results?"
Dae-hyun asked.
"Ofcourse, we can't fill your form without your results"
Mr Kim said turning his chair and looking at a form of ABM college.
"Don't break hearts, just for enjoying your time"
Mr Kim said all of a sudden.
"W-what?"
"These three years of yours are going to be very important for you"
"You know, when you step inside you will suddenly feel like grown up man"
Mr Kim spoke as he got up from chair and going to the window.
"You will want new experiences, but don't hurt anyone for that, You might regret it forever "
Mr Kim added.
Dae-hyun couldn't understand a word Mr Kim was saying. He was thankful he arranged a college for him, but no one from his childhood to now explained him about life. Mr Kim was the first one to tell him how his life could be.
"You know Dae-hyun, the biggest burden on my heart is since the second year of my college"
Mr Kim said with a sigh.
"What happened then that it made a burden on your heart?"
Dae-hyun asked politely, yet confused.
"I went to this very same college, thirty four years ago"
Mr Kim stated.
"In my second year, twenty years old ho-seok met a girl, and we were sweethearts"
"Was it Mrs Kim?"
Dae-hyun asked.
"No, she was Park Chae-yong, the person after whom I have named my oldest daughter"
Mr Kim answered.
"She was not from a rich family, and got a scholarship for college while I was one of the brats"
"After completing my third year, I joined this company as my dad owned shared here, which were inherited to me"
Mr Kim said looking in another direction.
"That's when I got the news, at that time it felt like I won the world, I was going to be a dad. I proposed her marriage"
"And then we got married"
Mr Kim said sitting back on his chair.
"My parents didn't created a scene, but they weren't happy about it. Few days later they sent me to Busan, saying that they have some work for me to complete"
Mr Kim said as his eyes started to water.
"I even missed the birth of my daughter, by the time I returned my family killed the love of my life. They forced her to kill herself"
He wiped his tears and continued,
"Thanks to my family, I was even separated from my daughter, Hanuel"
Dae-hyun was shocked to hear that name. He couldn't process what he just heard.
"D-does she knows?"
Dae-hyun somehow managed to speak, as Mr Kim nodded his head indicating no.
"Me, who was twenty three at the time was forced by my parents to give up my two years old daughter for foster care"
Mr Kim said, as he stood up.
"Now my first born is thirty years old, and well settled. The people who adopted were my friends thankfully"
Mr Kim said.
"Don't fall in love if you can't keep it, a beautiful woman had to leave this world because of me, a child had to been put up for adoption"
Mr Kim said as he rested his arms.
"And me and my parents were at fault, six years later when I made a good name, they got me married to my current wife"
Mr Kim said.
"Thank you sir, I know now what I have to do"
Dae-hyun finally understood what Mr Kim meant.
He walked out of the office, with a heavy heart.
"Don't fall in love if you can't keep it"
These words of Mr Kim ringing in his ears every second.
He realised the mistake he had did, he was repeating the person who employed him. Just in more hurtful way.
He started his bike and drove at a high speed. He reached the club he used to work at, but it wasn't his shift. It was the time when Hanuel comes there with her friends.
He entered the club. His eyes roamed around, but the person he was looking for was no where to be found.
Saddened he returned his home. He couldn't even breathe properly. His heart was getting heavier every second.
"You're going to fix everything tomorrow"
He said to himself looking in the mirror...
