The first time San met Wooyoung, he was a complete mess.
He found the younger boy shivering and sobbing on a road side, barely conscious. He was curling to himself on the pavement under the first snow of that winter, going through the worst anxiety attack he appeared to experience in his life.
What happened?? You might ask.
That was the day Wooyoung realized he was an idiot for madly falling in love with a heartless girl who he mistook to be his destiny. It turned out to be that she was playing with his feelings just to hurt him because of a ridiculous personal grudge she had with the boy related to their college life, leaving l Wooyoung dumbfounded.
Wy was so clueless for the whole time, that he had even let her in to his apartment, so she could freely live there without paying any rent as she had pretended to be financially unstable.
Yes,Wooyoung is too innocent for this world.

When he decided to confess her under the first snow of that winter (being the romantic sweetheart he is), she cold-heartedly rejected and left him right then and there with her rich boyfriend she happened to already date behind the poor boy's back.

The Sooner San reached the helpless smaller boy, he took off his own jacket and put it over Wooyoung's cold body before lifting him up to carry to the younger boy's vehicle parked nearby. He did his best to warm up the shivering younger one with the help of the car heater and used the younger's phone to call Hongjoong, who turned out to be Wooyoung's one and only friend.

For being a young boy who used to live a tough life alone with no family and almost no friends, it was
definitely Wooyoung's lucky day that San found him by the roadside just like an angel sent from above, before the poor boy got frozen to death on the spot.
Even though San used to live with his cousin Seonghwa, he always wanted to move into a place
where he could live by his rules. That's how he ended up at Wooyoung's apartment (even though he thought he'd never get to see that beautiful boy from that snowy night again) thanks to the recommendation of his cousin's boyfriend who turned out to be the same Hongjoong who was
Wooyoung's friend.

That's how San and Wooyoung ended up becoming best friends from completes strangers.

Since they become close friends, San always had Wooyoung's back every time the poor boy struggled with his mental health; when ever he experienced random panic attacks or he had those mental breakdowns, which he used to tackle by his own. Wooyoung was so grateful that he had San by his side since day one, always willing to listen to his concerns or embrace him with warm hugs to bring instant comfort to his wounded heart. It was the same for San. He loved to spend every minute of his time with the younger boy who he adored for being a sweet, gentle and kind soul that took care of him when ever he needed some genuine company.

With time, everybody around Wooyoung and San; except for the two boys themselves, were very well convinced that they were heads over heels for each other. Sometimes, the fondness and the love that seeped out of their eyes when ever they looked at each other was so painful to watch because they seemed to be equally oblivious about each other's feeling or... they were too cowardly to bring it up for discussion for some reason.
This was the same reason both Seonghwa and Hongjoong decides to take matters in to their hands
being the hyungs of the two boy's who were lost in love.

It was the weekend, where Seonghwa decided to throw a little house party at his and Hongjoong's place. Along with San and Wooyoung, he invited his other close friends Yunho, Mingi, Yeosang and Jongho to join them to have a good time. At first they had a fun just by eating snacks and having little chats, right before Jongho and Yeosang showed up with an wireless karaoke mic to brighten things up more. Each of them took a chance to display their singing skills, going solo and sometimes even duets. They were having so much fun together. But there was Seonghwa, still making mind plans to get either Wooyoung or San to confess before that night ended.
That is when he came up with an idea for another party game to accelerate things as he wanted. He
sneakily pulled out Hongjoong to a side and told him about his plan so he could get all the help he wanted.
