The two girls entered the apartment with both talking and trying to hide the smiles on their faces. Their conversations flow freely on the whole walk back to the apartment with the occasional laugh or smile from Eve. Ellie tried to bite down her own smiles as much as possible but Eve still noticed them and loved her smile every time she saw it.

"And welcome to my humble abode." Eve said as stepped into her apartment, she spread her arms out in an extravagant manner. Ellie tore her eyes away from the girl in front of her who was practically glowing brighter than the sun.

The red head looked around the apartment, taking it all in. Ellie wouldn't call the main room messy but she wouldn't call it clean either. Books were scattered around the main room, on the floor, counters, tables, basically any surface where a book could possibly be. The kitchen was overall well kept with the exception of a few stray glasses here and there. The dining table was a lot smaller than Charlie's but it made sense since the two didn't get many visitors. There was a new deck of cards on the table and that was it.

Ellie continued looking around the room as Eve talked, "Do you want anything? A water? We have some soda and some tea." Eve walked over to the fridge, "Actually maybe not tea, it's Heather's and she hates whenever someone drinks her tea."

Since no one was looking at her, Ellie didn't even try to hide the small smile that grew on her face. "Water would be great." Ellie tried to remember the last time she was shown this much hospitality.

The smile of Eve's face gets impossibly brighter, "One water coming right up!" She giggles at her lame joke.

Ellie shakes her head with a growing smile. She turns around to keep looking around the apartment, taking it all in while the back of her mind prays this wouldn't be her last time here. It was so much more homier than anywhere she had ever been, it perfectly reflected the two girls living there and they had somehow managed to make the small apartment look ten times bigger. "Hey Evelyn." Ellie turns around and is slightly shocked to see Eve in front of her holding out her glass of water. "Hey Els." She replies.

Ellie takes the cup of water and takes a sip to try and hide the blush growing on her cheeks. "I like what you've done to that place." The red head says after she finishes drinking.

"Really?" Eve said, looking at her with genuine surprise,

Ellie raises an eyebrow, "I mean, yeah who wouldn't?"

"My... my parents kept on bashing it last time they were here." Eve shrugs.

Ellie nods, not pushing the girl to say anything else. "Well I think it's great. It just screams 'the Keaton sisters live here'."

"It's because of the books isn't it?" Eve teasingly nudges Ellie's shoulder with a smile on her face, having completely forgotten about the last topic.

"I mean you are the biggest nerd in all of Idaho." Ellie nudges back with a sly smirk.

The young girl's eyes widened, "What did you just call me?"

Ellie shrugs and walks over to the living room, "I didn't call you anything."

Eve follows behind the girl like a golden retriever, bickering with the red head about how she isn't "the biggest nerd in all of Idaho." Ellie was able to bring up some good points but Eve countered them all to the best of her abilities. Their playful conversation went on and on as a constant nostalgic feeling filled the air. The girls reminisced about the days where they had gone to school together and all of the drama that had happened. It was mostly just dumb middle school stuff that never really mattered in the end, but since Eve was so detached from any cliche during that time everything was a surprise to her.
