The knock on the door causes the two girls to flinch. Ellie turns away from the window and faces her body to the door. They both look at each other with cautious eyes, Heather was in class and Liz was at work, so who the hell is at the door?

The two wordlessly agree that one of them would open the door and see who it is. A silent argument happened between the two, purely consisting of facial expressions and eye movements. Ellie eventually loses the argument and is forced to be the one that has to open the door.

She sighed and walked over to the door, opening it but not letting the person in. Eve tries to see the person without getting out of her seat but is unsuccessful. Eve rolls her eyes in defeat and sinks back into the couch. She tries to listen into what Ellie is saying to the mystery person but she can only make out a high pitch voice. The voice irritated Eve so much she decided to stop trying to listen and instead go back to reading The Great Gatsby.

A few seconds later, Ellie steps out of the way and lets the person in. The sudden ray of light hitting the corner of Eve's eyes caused her to look in the direction of the door. She was finally able to see who was at the door, it was the missionary that visited Charlie a few days ago. She didn't really like the boy but she also had no reason to kick him out, especially without Charlie's permission. "Are you his friend, or..." The boy asks Ellie.

Ellie closes the door and walks into the kitchen, "I'm his daughter."

"Oh." is all the boy says.

"Are you surprised?" Ellie grabs two cups that Liz had cleaned last night. The black haired girl silently wished she would've gotten one from the cabinet. Not for her sake but for Ellie's, Liz hated it when people used dishes that she hadn't put away yet.

"Yeah, I guess." The missionary responds as Ellie places the cups down on the counter.

"What's more surprising? That a gay guy has a daughter, or that someone actually found his penis." She walks over to the fridge and opens it.
"Ellie." Eve looks up from her book to scold the red head.

Ellie looks at the girl with a smirk on her face, "Sorry princess." She winks at the girl and continues to search through the fridge. The missionary tries to leave but Ellie stops him, "I'm kidding." she says. "Jesus." She grabs a jug of Heather's tea from the fridge and it was at that moment Eve knew she was either going to have to take the blame for Ellie or rat out Ellie. She had done two things that would piss off the two most violent people in the family.

"Um..." The boy walks closer to Ellie, who was dumping the tea into their cups. "Charlie was interested in hearing more about my church, and I brought some literature-" He said it loud enough that Ellie could hear it but not Eve, since she would've been able to identify it as a lie in seconds.

"Are you mormon?" Ellie cut him off and gained Eve's attention.

"No, I'm from New Life."

Ellie then caught Eve's eyes, they both gave each other a look that said "what the fuck?" Ellie would never admit it to anyone but she was happy that Eve was warming up to her, and vice versa. "That end times cult thing?" Ellie asked, breaking eye contact with Eve to look at the missionary. She watches his reaction, focusing on the way his face dropped. When she has all the information she needs she pours juice into one of the cups.

"It's not a cult." The boy stammers.

Ellie doesn't let him speak, "I'll tell you one thing that I like about religion." She finishes pouring the tea for her and the missionary "What I like about religion is that it assumes that everyone is an idiot" She screws the cap shut, "and that they're all incapable of saving themselves." She grabs the jug and puts it back into the fridge. "I think they got something right with that."
