Lucy's POV:

"That was a good practice lads!" Wood calls to us all. I share a look with Katie and Ange- lina and roll my eyes. Wood tends to forget there are girls on the team too.

"And ladies!" Angelina yells back at him, like usual. This happens every time and it's kind of a game of theirs.

"And ladies! I think if we train hard enough, we'll surely be able to defeat Hufflepuf next week!"

"Wait a minute, since when are we up against Hufflepuf?!" Angelina asks perplex- ed. "The first match of the year is always Gryffindor versus Slytherin."

"They can't play because of their injured seeker."

"That's bullshit," Harry grunts. "There's nothing wrong with Malfoy's arm!"

"I know, but we can't prove it, can we?" Wood sounds stressed, even for Wood. "And it's bad. We were not prepared for Hufflepuf and their techniques are very different!"

"We're not gonna lose from the Badgers, Wood!" Fred rolls his eyes at the captain.

Hufflepuf isn't bad at all, but we've never lost a game to them. However, Cedric Diggory has becone their seeker this year and I don't know how good he is, so I'd have to agree with Wood on this one.

On the other hand, I've never seen someone beat Harry either. He's really good and ev- eryone knows it.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in ages Lucy," Katie says when we're in the changing rooms. "It's good to see you again. And you've really improved your skills!"

"Thanks, you too," I smile at them. Katie and Angelina are both a few years older than me. Angelina is in her fifth year, while Katie's in fourth. Nonetheless, we make a great team as chasers.

"This is Wood's last year here already," Ang- elina starts, as we're heading out, back to the castle. "It feels so weird. Having a new captain next year, I mean."

"I mean, it's probably going to be you though, isn't it?" I smirk at her. "You and the twins are the oldest on the team right now. And I can't honestly imagine Minnie being stupid enough to make either of them captain."

"And why would that be stupid?" Before I know it, Fred has picked me up off the ground and is spinning me around like a toddler.

"Let me go Fred!" He doesn't let go himself, so I kick him hard in his knee and he lets go, wincing. "What was that for?"

"You'd better not be injuring one of our team mates, Potter!" Wood shouts to me from somewhere behind us.

"Oh chill out, Wood!" Angelina laughs. "He's completely fine!"

"Am not!" He feigns injury like the drama queen he is and acts like he can't walk with- out support, leaning on George. "I shall be unable to walk forever!"

And just like the idiot he is, Wood comes rushing towards us, all panicked. "What?! No, you can't be! We need two beaters!"

All the rest of the team breaks into a fit of laughter. "What's so funny about this?!" He yells at us, still not getting it.

"Oliver relax," Fred wheezes. "I am fine. It was just a joke!"

Once Wood realises it, he scowls at all of us and turns around. "Idiots."

"It was pretty funny Wood, admit it," Katie nudges him.

"Good kick Lu," Harry whispers with a huge grin.

"Thanks, brother dearest."

"Very funny, Lu." The sarcasm in his voice is basically touchable.

"Yo Potter Junior, you guys planning on any pranks lately?" George asks me, putting an arm around my shoulders. "'Cause we'd be happy to... y'know... team up once in a while."
