Lucy's POV:
That was all I needed to know. I quickly disentangled myself from Poppy's embrace and sped past her, down the hall. Poppy called after me, but I ignored her.
I need to get to Harry! Had he been hurt?! How did he even get into the castle?! And who else was there, who else might've gotten hurt? What about the girls? Or Ron or Dean or Neville?!
And where was Remus? Was he okay?!
I ran back to the Gryffindor Tower as fast as I possibly could. I now realise, too, that indeed, the hectics came from there earlier: that's where they started. So Sirius Black was really there, maybe he hasn't even been to see Remus at all.
As I turn a corner I run right into another running person. We both crash to the ground of the momen- tum. In automatic response, I grab for my wand, but it isn't Black.
"Thank Merlin, Lucy!" 'Liana shoots back up her feet in a second, while I'm still gathering myself. "We were so worried, we thought you'd-"
"Jesus, you scared me to death!" I am quickly pulled off the ground and hugged by another panicked person: Harry. "I really thought he'd got to you first! If he had, I wouldn't have known what-"
"Harry it's okay!" I try to calm him down. "I am okay, we're both okay. Did no one else die? Did someone get hurt?"
"No," a still wheezing Vanessa manages. "He had the wrong bed. Ron-"
"Oh my God, is he okay?"
"Fine, he screamed everyone awake. That scared Black off." Now Ginny comes in for a hug. I know how worried they must have all been, so instead of letting it bug me, I let them and try not to flinch too much.
"It's strange, that he made a run for it. You'd think he'd just kill Ron."
"Do you really want me gone that badly?" Ron and Hermione join the group, closely followed by Minnie and, from the other side, Poppy.
Ron is smirking at me, but I can see he's still pale and extremely shaken up by what he's just witnessed. He's had so much luck that he's even still alive!
"Yeah, such a bummer he didn't have the time to cut your throat." Minnie and Poppy give me sharp looks, but neither of them says anything.
"We should all go to the Great Hall now," Minnie announces as she reads a quick note that just appeared in her hands. "Everyone will be spending the night there, for safety precausions."
"Like camping?"
Where is Remus? I ask myself. He is definitely not here, if he knew I was in danger, he'd have come, right? Is he looking for Black?!
"Will everyone go there?" I ask Min- nie and Poppy.
"Yes. The headboy and headgirl will guard everyone, helped by some professors. The rest of the staff will be tracking Black. He can't be far," Minnie explains, looking at all of us in turn to see if we understand.
Remus'd better be in the Great Hall. He'd better be alright, or I'm going to murder Black!
I look to Harry, who is already on the verge of hunting him down to avenge him. He looks angry at the mention of Black, but not like he'll murder Black right now. I know he still feels like that, though.
"Well, let's get going then," Poppy answers, ushering us to follow Minnie's lead. "Wouldn't want to keep everyone waiting and worried, would we?"
And so off we go, to the Great Hall. The walk there is quiet and it makes me more restless and eager to see Remus. I really hope no one else got hurt.
