Chapter 7- Han'oite

"What are you doing here?" She growls. "I came here to speak with you" he says fiddling with her songcord which was hanging from the ceiling. "Don't touch that" she slaps his hand away.

"I came here to apologize, not to fight" he says sitting up and facing her. Nal'a then comes to sit opposite him on the mat, "Go on then" she says. Aonung lets out a deep sigh before speaking.

"Nal'a I would like to sincerely apologize for my rude behaviour and for the cruel things I've said to you, I had absolutely no right to say and do those things, I'm sorry" he says looking deep into her eyes, "friends?"

"You are forgiven and sure" she smiles. Aonung then out of blue pulls her into a bear hug and suprisingly Nal'a hugs him back. "Thank you for forgiving me" he says. "Of course, I've only wanted peace" she says.

They then break from the hug keeping eye contact. "I sh-" but before she could speak, Aonung cups her cheek and pulls her into a long and deep kiss from which she doesn't pull away but instead kisses back. She didn't know why but she just did.

They then break from the kiss with his hand still cupped on her cheek. Nal'a's ears and cheeks grew red. "Am I making you blush?" He smirks. "No" Nal'a quickly shoves off his hand.

"So what does this mean now?" Aonung asks. "We're friends" she says. "Alright then, see you tonight friend" he says leaving the pod.

"What in Eywa's name was that Nal'a?" She scolds herself, "We're friends, just friends"

Nal'a walks out of the marui pod for some fresh air. "That was short nap" Tal'a smirks to herself. "It did go shorter than expected" Nal'a says calmly. "I see Aonung wanted a quickie" Tal'a giggles. "Gross Tal'a!" She shouts.

"I'ma go find Tamun and Rotxo, bye annoying older sister!" She shouts leaving the marui. "Bye Aonung's mate!" Tal'a teases.

Nal'a then begins to walk over to the beach but gets followed. "I can feel your presence Aonung" she says not looking back but continuing to walk. "Aonung?" Nashvi says standing in front of her.

"Oh Vi it's you" she says looking up at him. "Why would you think I was Aonung? I thought you hated each other?" He asks. "He came to apologize earlier in my pod so I only assumed" Nal'a says.

"Wanna go to our spot?" Nashvi asks. "Our spot?" Nal'a asks confused. "The cave" he explains. "Oh, sure let's go" she says.

Nashvi then holds her hand and they both run down to the beach. He puts her on his back and dives into the water as she holds on tight. He calls his ilu and Nal'a rests on the back of the ilu's body.

They arrive at the cave and emerge their upper bodies from the water still on the ilu. "It's as beautiful as it was the times before" Nal'a says resting her head on his back.
(The river water is shallow)

Nashvi then gets off his ilu and so does Nal'a. "Are you excited for tonight's party?" Nashvi asks. "Yes I am, I can't wait to see my mother" Nal'a smiles. "I bet, so what are you gonna wear?" He asks. "You'll see" she teases.

Nashvi is 18 like Aonung. Nal'a= 17

"If you wear something scanty I might pounce" he adds. Nal'a giggles at his statement and teases him by throwing her arms around his neck and looking him in the eye. Nashvi takes this as an opportunity to pick her up and allow her legs to cross around his waist.

They then lock eyes, "You'll have to catch me first" she teases. "I already caught you" he says before pulling her into a kiss.
