Chapter 10- Aonung

"Come" Tonowari demands his son to follow him. Aonung follows his father as they walk out of the marui.

"You too Nal'a and you as well Yuri" Ronal says looking at the girls, Nal'a and Yuri stand and follow the tsahik and Tsireya out of the marui.

They walk in silence for a while before reaching their marui where Nashvi and his mother were waiting. Once they'd arrived, Tsireya walked away as she was dismissed by her mother.

"Explain" Tonowari says sternly. Aonung and Nal'a take a glance at each other before Nal'a begins to speak.

"Aonung was defending me, Nashvi wanted to us to go somewhere but I declined, it made him angry that I was with Aonung so he started questioning it, Aonung remained calm and warned Nashvi to leave but Nashvi obviously didn't listen and it broke out into a fight" Nal'a explains.

"I see, you two may leave now" Tonowari says dismissing Yuri and Nal'a who walk back to their marui. "That was tense" Nal'a lets out a deep breath, "What if they don't allow Aonung to see me?" She asks.

"If they really want a future tsahik for this clan then I don't think they'd do that" Yuri shrugs playfully which makes Nal'a giggle, "He's my friend Aunt Yuri, nothing more"

"Keep lying to yourself" Yuri says walking further as Nal'a stands there and thinks to herself 'What if I do actually like him?'

She continues to walk to the marui and opens the curtain to the pod, only to find..

"Aaah!" She shouts jumping excitedly and runs down to the beach where the sullys and Tsireya were sitting. "You won't believe what I saw!" She giggles. She then spots Kiri and Rotxo running and hides behind Lo'ak and Tsireya who had been sitting close.

"I swear to Eywa if you tel-" Kiri says but is cut off by Nal'a shouting out loud, "I walked in on Kiri and Rotxo KISSING!!" She shouts. "Nal'a!" Kiri scolds. "What? There's nothing to be ashamed of" Nal'a shrugs.

Kiri then points to Tuk which only makes Nal'a confused, Kiri then comes next to her and whispers in her ear, "As much as I love her, Tuk doesn't know how to keep a secret" She whispers.

"Don't worry Kiri, I covered her ears" Neteyam assures her. "Oh thank you brother, you're a lifesaver" Kiri says feeling relived. "But oooh Kiri" Tsireya teases. "Oh shut up Reya" Kiri snaps trying to hide her blush.

Nal'a then practically throws herself onto Rotxo and Kiri, hugging them both, "You're both all grown up, oh eywa where did the time go?" She says pretending to weep. Kiri rolls her eyes and pushes Nal'a off of her.

"You're a skxawng" she says. "You interrupted us cousin, come on Kiri, let's go" Rotxo says taking Kiri's hand as they both walk away. "No funny business aye!" Lo'ak shouts for them. "Don't listen to him, have fun!" Nal'a teases.

"Who knew Kiri would find love" Neteyam initiates the conversation. "Yeah, she really did grow up" Lo'ak sighs. "Oh my eywa you boys are acting like fathers" Nal'a says making Tsireya giggle, "I bet Kiri's been doing this for the longest time, the girl's a catch" Tsireya adds.
