Chapter 8- Family

"Let's go and be kids for the night" Tsireya says. "How?" Kiri asks. "By listening to the elderly's stories" she says. "Okay let's go" the girls all stand. "You guys go ahead, I'ma go sit with my family" Nal'a says walking over to where her and Tamun's parents; her aunt and sister sat.

"Heyy" she says hugging her sister. "Oh hey, you won't believe what we were talking about earlier" Tal'a says looking at her.

"Young lady, you're dating two people at the same time?!" Korrha jokes. "What?! Dad no, it's not like that" Nal'a shouts defensively. The adults all laugh. "You've got jokes Sempul" Tal'a says annoyed as Korrha shrugs in response.

"But we did hear about both Aonung and Nashvi liking you" Suri says. "I know about Nashvi liking me but I'm not so sure about Aonung" Nal'a says. "Pick Aonung, Nashvi sucks" Azay says. "Azay, don't interfere" Tamun's father, A'tok scolds. Azay just rolls her eyes in response, "I'm just saying"

"She's kinda got a point though, I just wouldn't of said it like that" A'tok says. "What do you mean?" Nal'a asks. "We've heard stories Nal'a, not very good ones" Suri says. "About?" She questions.

"Your little boyfriend is a player, he breaks girl's hearts" Korrha explains, "his mother said it herself"

Nal'a scoffs hearing this, her heart wasn't broken but it didn't sit well with her either. "Sorry love" Yuri says. "But hey, you have Aonung" Azay says enthusiastically. Yuri and Tal'a giggle at the woman's attempt to lighten the mood.

"Well Nashvi doesn't know who he's playing" Nal'a says crossing her arms. "That's my girl" Suri scrunches her nose cutely while smiling. "Now all you have to do is plan how you're getting to break his heart" Korrha says, "and his legs" he mutters to himself.

Suri smacks him upside the head making him hiss lightly. "I'm just saying" he mumbles. "Someone gets it" Azay shrugs. "Children" Suri snaps. "Indeed" A'tok agrees.

"I can't wait for you to mate with Aonung and become tsahik" Suri says clapping her hands excitedly, "You better do it on han'oite, I need to be there" she says.

"Same, I wanna see your queues connect" Azay says. "Women" Korrha rolls his eyes. "Are amazing" Yuri finishes his sentence.

"Let's go swimming" Nal'a suggests, "Since there's only a few more hours and many people have already left the party" "Swimming is such a great idea, let's go" Suri says running to the ocean and landing a perfect dive with her mate, best friends(Tamun's parents) and sister behind.

"Let's go get those skxawngs" Tal'a says as they both run over to where the boys were sitting. "We're going swimming with our parents, wanna join?" Nal'a asks. "Let's go!" Rotxo shouts excitedly. Tamun then picks her up and runs over to the ocean after Tal'a and Rotxo.

"Ahh!" She shouts as Tamun throws her into the ocean and dives in after her.

"Skxawng" she signs to him before swimming after her family with him closely behind. They swim over to the adults, Tal'a and Rotxo who were all in a circle and speaking(signing).

"Let's play ilu tag" Tal'a signs. "Sure, you're it" Azay signs before riding away on her ilu as the rest of the group does the same.

After a while of playing ilu tag, Nal'a and Suri ride away from the group and emerge from the water on the main beach(north)

"That was fun" Nal'a laughs. "It was but I'm tired" Suri says catching her breath. "Here, let's rest" Nal'a says gently leading her mother over to a rock where they both lay and rest their heads.

"I've missed this" Nal'a whispers as they both look up at the moonlight sky. "So have I" Suri whispers back kissing her forehead.

Tal'a and Korrha then emerge from the water. "There you guys are" Tal'a says running up to them and resting on the rock next to her sister with their father next to her.
