Chapter 18- Delayed

Nal'a wakes up still in Aonung's arms.

Tsireya then runs into the pod. "Wake up! Mother and father are speaking with the clan!" She orders. "Okay okay, jeez" Aonung yawns getting up.

Nal'a, Tsireya and Aonung then run down to the centre of the village where announcements took place.

"Great, now that everyone is here we can begin" Tonowari smiles, "Our ancestors have made a slight change" he announces.

"Han'oite is now every month instead of every year" Ronal adds. Some villagers beam with joy as Nal'a does too.

"Although, we have a tsakarem battle coming up" Tonowari sighs, "Me and my mate thought it would be better if it happened while their parents were here for Han'oite"

"But that's weeks aw-" Tìlor protests. "It is decided" Tonowari cuts her off. She groans in response.

"We have to follow our ancestors wishes" Ronal announces, "Unless you want to be banished from the clan" she warns looking down at Tìlor who looks down in shame.

"You're all dismissed" Tonowari says dismissively. The crowd begins to fall away as Nal'a turns to Tsireya and Aonung. "This is gonna mean more drama" Tsireya sighs. "We'll get through it" Aonung shrugs.

Tìlor then walks up to them giving Nal'a a light nudge, "He's not yours just yet, I will fight for him" she hisses. "You're on bitch" Nal'a growls before Tìlor walks away. She turns back to the siblings, "Lots of drama" she sighs.

"Yeah...let's go find Kiri" Tsireya suggests. "Sure" Nal'a replies, "See you later?" She asks Aonung. He nods before she walks off with Tsireya over to the sully marui where they're met by Neteyam and Tuk.

"Hey guys, have you seen Kiri?" Tsireya greets and asks. "She's with Rotxo at your marui" Neteyam says to Nal'a. "Alright thanks, have a great day" Nal'a smiles walking away with Tsireya.

They arrive at Nal'a's marui where Tsilrawa, Tal'a and Kanu were all sitting together and laughing. "You go with Kiri, I'll find you at breakfast" Nal'a says to Tsireya before walking up to the trio.

She throws herself onto her older sister while hugging her. "Hey baby sis" Tal'a smiles caressing the back of Nal'a's head. "Hey little Tal'a" Tsilrawa greets. "Why are you here?" Kanu asks.

"I came here to greet my sister and friend, how bout you?" Nal'a replies. "I was chilling with them until you came" Kanu scoffs. "Well too bad, they're mine" Nal'a says coming in between Tsilrawa and Tal'a and hugging them both.

"This is why you're my friend" Tsilrawa giggles. "Breakfast is happening soon, we should go" Tal'a taps her sister's back. Nal'a breaks from the hug, "You're right, let's go" she says standing up and pulling her sister with her.

They all begin to down to the communal dining area. "Wanna come sit with me and my friends?" Nal'a asks. "We're too old for you little skxawngs" Kanu snickers. "I'll come" Tsilrawa says, "It'll be interesting" "Interesting indeed, I'm in" Tal'a agrees.

"I'll be with my friends, you guys go without me" Kanu says walking over to a group of guys. "He has friends?" Nal'a asks. "Believe it or not" Tsilrawa snickers. They arrive where the rest of the group was sitting. Nashvi, Koro, Tìlor and her other friends were there as well.

"Exciting" Tsilrawa whispers to Nal'a making her giggle before she sits down and the girls come on either side of her. "Mind introducing us?" Tal'a asks Nal'a. "Right, guys this is my older sister Tal'a and my friend Tsilrawa" Nal'a introduces as the rest of the group give a subtle 'hi'
