[ Xicheng ] - My Human

Chapter 7

Hello! Author here- I'd like to announce that I will be returning to school in a week. To be exact, I am going to 9th grade, so I apologize as I have a feeling I will not post as often- even if only some people view my small story T v T. That's all! This chapter will also be a little short as I've been quite exhausted lately. But I still hope you enjoy this chapter :D

[ JIANG CHENG'S POV ]

Jiang Cheng could barely sleep. All night, he lay in bed thinking of what he'd gotten himself into.

First, he'd saved a human and went missing for 3 hours.

Then, he messed up his simple daily routines.

Next, he started to lose focus during class.

After, he'd gone spying on his brother.

In the end, he'd found out that his brother was not only dating a human, but he himself has also promised to meet a human at a certain tree on a certain part of the lake. 

He groaned. 

I am not going to get a normal day in my life am I?...

Obviously, him not keeping himself in check had some consequences. He'd already gotten scolded by Madam Yu yesterday. Today, she'd finally decided to use the whip. Now, Madam Yu wasn't entirely a bad person. However, as Jiang Cheng's lack of concentration starts getting in the way, Madam Yu starts to worry that something was bothering Jiang Cheng. To the point where he is starting to get distracted from his studies. She knew Zidian was not a weapon to consider a joke. One lash, and it could not only cause pain for several days, but also sting the person depending on the level of anger the holder of Zidian was in. 

Madam Yu had thought carefully before using Zidian on Jiang Cheng a total of 3 times. She was hoping that he could stand the lashes. After all, she wanted to see how much he could stand the spiritual weapon she wielded. However, she understood her weapon well, and didn't fully expect Jiang Cheng to withstand the lashes. 

To her amazement however, Jiang Cheng did not make a single noise during his punishment. In fact, he stayed so silent, that Madam Yu started questioning whether or not her Zidian had been replaced with another weapon. 

After getting his three whip lashes, Jiang Cheng rose from the lake floor and gave a small bow to Madam Yu before returning to his room. 

Madam Yu huffed a little, and ordered a servent to clean the room up before the end of the day. Anyone who'd just started working as a servent would not see this easily, but pain and worry could be detected in Madam Yu's eyes if one looked closely.

As for Jiang Cheng, he'd just unintentionally made himself the center of gossip. He had gotten his first whip lashes from not just any whip- but Zidian. Not only that, he didn't utter a single word nor sound during his punishment. 

..Just like Wei Wuxian...

Everyone wondered what had prevented Jiang Cheng from feeling anything during the whip lashes. Jiang Cheng himself was confused the whole time as well. Strangely, as soon as he started thinking of Lan Xichen and the meeting that was to take place, Jiang Cheng couldn't help but smile on the inside.

At least... I can go see him tomorrow.

...

I wonder where Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji first met... I wonder if they met in that small cave thing...

...

Speaking of Wei Wuxian, I should probably check on him tommorow. He had gotten 2 whip lashes, and his previous scars are still slightly visible...

Jiang Cheng twists and turns on his bed. 

Great. Now he couldn't sleep.

I meet one human.

ONE HUMAN AND THIS IS WHAT I BECOME.
