Purah sits in a wooden chair, not saying anything as we explain everything that's happened. We stand in the dark space, trying our best not to step on any important looking papers, while the kids play on the floor with some discarded machinery.

When we're done, she finally looks up.

"I- I thought it was just here. I didn't know. How could the other cities have fallen?" she asks, as if she wants us to tell her we're kidding, "I mean, Hateno and Kakariko, they're farming villages, so they probably don't have super advanced armies, right? But... the domain? And the Hyrule castle?"

"I dont- I don't know," signs Link dejectedly, "the leader of the Clan, she came up with this whole plan. Apparently, she used the Yiga's ability to spy and disguise themselves to gather information on the cities. Somehow, they even infiltrated the royal guard."

She shakes her head, looking hopeless.

"The leader, what did you say her name was?" she asks.

"Yeah, we don't actually know," says Yunobo, "they were too busy partying to remember that little detail."

"We do know it starts with an M, though," I say, sheepishly and unhelpfully.

Purah sits for a minute, letting it all sink in, before her face suddenly lights up. She jumps up from her chair, rummaging through the papers on her floor. When she finally finds what she's looking for (which appears to be some kind of treasure map), she tugs on a cloak and heads for the door.

"Come on," she shouts over her shoulder, activating the fighter robot so that it follows behind us, "I have something for you, Link."

We walk through the sand of Hateno's beach, and I can feel the tiny grains in my shoes already.

"Where, exactly, are we going?" asks Riju, sweating in the hot sun.

"I told you," says Purah cheerfully, "I have something I need to give to Link."

"And that thing is... on the beach?" Sidon asks, grabbing some seaweed to dangle teasingly over Yona's head.

"Well, I had to hide it somewhere," she replies, as if it's common sense, "if the Yiga had gotten their grimy little hands on it, it would've been pretty bad."

"Well, what is it?" asks Yunobo.

"You'll see," is all she says.

We walk around a bend, and there, on the base of the high cliffs, is a small cave entrance. Purah leads the way inside, leaving her robot outside to keep watch for any unpleasant characters.

We walk in, the air around us becoming cool and humid, the glow of brightbloom flowers and cave fish swimming through a small stream lighting the way. As we make our way further into the cave, Purah turns to Link.

"So you know how you broke your Sheikah slate?" she asks excitedly, "when you were paragliding and you dropped it? Well... I made you a new one! Only now, it's even better! I call it the Purah Pad! Don't ask Robbie about the name, though," she adds quietly.

As we enter a small room in the cave system, Purah takes out a small device that had been attached to her pack, and turns it on.

The room is automatically filled with a bright light emanating from the device, and she turns it to face a large, yellowy panel on one of the cave walls. When she does, the panel slowly turns green, and a wall on the opposite side of the small room slides open, revealing a stone chest.

We stand, shocked, in the entryway.

"What?" she asks when she sees us gawking. "I found it this way. All I did was replace the random brightbloom seeds in that chest with the Pad."
