Fact no.19: Messy can be good

APRIL

As I told Noah, I have something in store for my birthday. It's not every day you turn twenty. And it's not every day you manage to convince ten people to come all the way to Spain for you. I did that. Apart from my besties, the rest of the Fab Five agreed to come. Darrel will obviously also be there, since he's Soph's private bodyguard and goes wherever she goes. I also invited Leo after Dia asked me too. I would have done it too, I guess, without her asking. I want her to have a good time too. And since she loves Leo, it was a sure thing to invite him.

Tomorrow is the big day everybody arrives. I've asked them here two days before my birthday. So that everything can go as planned. Tomorrow, we will relax and see when everybody will arrive. Soph, Nini, Alec and Caden are coming from Monaco, since that's where they were with their double date trip around Europe. Darrel will come with them. Adam is currently in Los Angeles visiting some friends, but he promised he'll come. He also said he would go to New York first to get Jacob, Nessie and Leo. Adam offered to bring them using his private plane, so that they don't have to buy any plane tickets. I told him I owe him one, he only assured me it's fine and I should see it as my birthday present. However, knowing Adam, there are more presents to come. He always tends to act like the big brother of the group, making sure everybody is alright. Getting presents for us is something he does.

Cami and Dia are helping me cleaning the guest rooms. The Summer house luckily has enough guest rooms, so we can all live together and no one has to move in a hotel. I've asked them to come here for a week, but we'll be only here for five days. I've already got everything planned out. First day is arrival time plus some time to relax. The second day too, since even though Soph, Nini, Caden, Alec and Darrel have been in Europe until now, Nessie, Adam and Jacob (and Leo, but who cares about him) were in the States until now and might be jet-lagged. We could spend the day relaxing at the beach or if they need it, sleeping. On my birthday, I have something epic planned, but that will remain a surprise for everyone until then. The next day we'll spend it on the beach again, since my birthday will be so epic, they might need some time to relax afterwards. Then, one day in Barcelona. The next two days of our week together we'll spend them at a fun park nearby, one hour away from Barcelona. I already managed to get us all rooms to spend the night in one of the fun park's hotels.

As I said, this week will be amazing.

"I am so happy I get to meet your friends", Cami says, making the bed in the room that will be for Nini and Caden. I'm cleaning the windows and Dia is moping the floors.

"I'm also happy. You will be friends in no time", I reply. Cami smiles at me, Dia too. I mean it. Although some people in our friend group have personalities that require a certain type of attention, the most of them are really nice people.

Cami takes another bedsheet and is quiet for a while. After some time, she asks: "Is there anything I should know about them? Before they arrive, so I can be prepared."
Dia and I share a look. Our friend group is not the most normal one. We have 2 CEOs that have more money than any other person I know and could very well buy the world. 3 captains of sports team, all super interested in their sport. One princess, one romance booklover, a music major, a romcom obsessed drama major and me. Very normal.

"They are for sure interesting. And we can be pretty messy sometimes. There will for sure be chaos and drama. But we all love each other with all that we have", I explain. Dia nods, her face so honest it shows she feels the same thing.

"In that case, I really can't wait to meet them all."

I also can't wait until they will be here. I miss my besties too much.

With a smile on my face, I continue cleaning and count down the seconds in my mind until tomorrow.
