Alex was in his room doing history homework when he heard Kate and Allison talking.
Getting up from his desk, Alex walked over to Allison's door frame and peeked inside, and heard Kate talking about something familiar.
"Type this in. La Bete Du Gevaudan," Kate said, leaning over Allison's shoulder as she sat at her computer and typed in what Kate told her.
"The beast of Gevaudan," Allison translated as Kate hummed in confirmation.
Alex's eyes narrowed at this.
"What is this?" Allison asked.
"It's an old French legend that, believe it or not, has something to do with your family," Kate told her as Alex clenched his hand into a fist.
"In 1766, in a province of Lozere, La Bete killed over a hundred people," Allison read from the article.
"Mysterious animal attacks, just like a certain town called Beacon Hills," Kate said as Allison looked over her shoulder and past Kate toward her closet before returning to her computer.
"So what was it? The animal?" Allison asked.
"Nobody knows for sure, but I can tell you one thing, it definitely wasn't a mountain lion. What's it look like to you?" Kate asked.
"It looks like..." Allison trailed off, tilting her head at the picture.
"A wolf," Alex said from the doorway, scaring both girls as they looked to see him standing there in a tank top and shorts with a narrowed gaze.
"Alex, hey," Kate greeted with a cocky smirk as he walked into the room and stood beside Allison's desk.
"It's getting late. We've got school in the morning," Alex told Kate as she nodded before standing up and walking past Alex, leaving the room.
Alex glanced over his shoulder to ensure Kate was gone before he looked back down at Allison, who looked confused and nervous.
"Scott, get the hell out of here before I break your legs," Alex said loud enough for Scott, who was hiding in the closet, to hear but not loud enough for anyone outside the room to hear.
Allison looked shocked as she opened and closed her mouth, repeatedly looking from Alex to her closet and then back to him.
Alex rolled his eyes as he turned to leave, "Now," he barked to Scott before closing Allison's door behind him.
A half-naked Scott then peeked his head out of Allison's closet with an equally shocked but fearful expression as he looked to Allison, who nodded rapidly, telling him he needed to leave as he rushed to get dressed.

The next morning at school, Alex walked down the hall to his locker near Lydia's. As he stopped at his locker, he noticed Scott rounding the corner before his eyes locked on Alex.
"Oh, come on!" Scott complained as he turned around and left. Alex didn't know what that was about, but it made him smirk.
Looking a few lockers down, Alex spotted Lydia at her locker doing touchups to her makeup.
It hadn't even been 24 hours since their 'activities' the other day, and Alex was hopeful and worried that Lydia remembered what had happened between them. Hopeful that she heard what he told her. Worried, she thought he tried to assault her and use her drunken behavior to his advantage, which he didn't do.
Lydia then looked and caught Alex staring at her as he quickly looked away and hid his head behind the locker door.
"Shit," Alex said as he quickly put two of his books away before grabbing one from his locker and stuffing it into his backpack.
