A/N: Sorry, guys, this is a short one for reasons you'll soon find out. But I also wanted to get this chapter out of the way so we can get to the good stuff.

A night or two later, Derek, after being found by the cops, was running through the warehouse district with the cops chasing him.

The cops weren't the only ones there; the Argents, Chris and Kate, were also chasing him. Well, Chris was chasing Derek on foot, and Kate was chasing his car, which Alex was driving with Scott and Stiles.

"Go faster. Much faster!" Stiles shouted to Alex, who checked his rearview to see Kate's car close.

"You got it," Alex said with a smirk as he shifted gears and floored the gas before drifting around a corner.

The car chase continued for a little while longer before Kate broke off and drove away.

"They're gone," Stiles said as Alex narrowed his eyes before Stiles flipped on his handheld police radio.

"All units, the suspect is on foot heading into the Iron Works," the dispatch said as Alex made a quick drift as he headed to the Iron Works.

Upon getting there, he found Derek hiding behind a piece of equipment while his dad was on a catwalk above, shooting crossbow arrows at him.

Alex skidded to a stop in front of Derek, but in a way that kept his dad from seeing who was in the car as Stiles looked out the window at Derek.

"Get in," Stiles said as he climbed into the backseat with Scott while Derek ran over and hopped into the car just as Chris opened fire on them with an assault rifle.

Alex floored it, causing the tires to screech as he took off down the road, the car only taking a few bullets to the side as he drove out of the Iron Works.

"What part of laying low don't you understand!" Scott shouted at Derek, who smacked the dash.

"Damn it, I had him!" Derek exclaimed in anger.

"Who? The Alpha?" Stiles asked, leaning up front.

"Yes! He was right in front of me, and the friggin' police showed up," Derek said angrily.

"Oh, hey, they're just doing their jobs..." Stiles trailed off as Derek gave him a death glare, making him shrink away in fear.

"Yeah, thanks to someone who decided to make me the most wanted fugitive in the entire state!" Derek exclaimed, glaring at Scott.

"I had nothing to do with that. That's all him," Alex said, jerking his thumb behind him to Scott while still driving.

"Can we seriously get past that? I made a dumbass mistake. I get it," Scott stated.

"All right. How did you find him?" Stiles asked as Derek looked at him before shaking his head and looking away, not telling them anything.

"Can you try to trust us for at least half a second?" Alex asked tiredly as Stiles stuck his head back up front.

"Yeah, all three of us," he said as Derek glared at him again.

"Or just them. I'll be back here," Stiles said as he sat back.

"Look, the last time I talked to my sister, she was close to figuring something out. She found two things. The first was a guy named Harris," Derek began before Stiles stuck his head back in the front.
