A/N: This is a long chapter to make up for my hiatus. 7,400+ words. Enjoy!

It was early the next morning. The sun's rays barely peeked through the trees in the forest as some of these rays hit Alex's face.

Alex groaned and put his hand in front of his eyes as he blinked awake and looked around to see he was lying on the ground in the middle of the forest, completely naked.

Alex looked around, confused as he stood up before looking over himself and realizing he was naked and covered in dirt and leaves. Spinning around in a circle, Alex didn't recognize his surroundings but concluded he was still in Beacon Hills Reserve after smelling the scent of old burnt wood, meaning he was somewhere near the Hale House.

Flashes of the previous night, before the transformation, came to him as Alex remembered his talk with Derek and the pain before he realized he had broken out of the chains and turned. Into what? He didn't know. All he knew was last night, he'd broken out of his chains with little effort and had woken up miles from where he hid his truck.

"Shit," he said to himself.

It took Alex an hour to find where he had tried to chain himself up as he discovered the shredded remnants of his clothes. He grabbed the remnants of his clothes and shoes and searched them for his keys, wallet, and phone before heading to his truck.

Luckily, Alex kept a pair of spare clothes in his truck along with a towel, which he used to clean the dirt off himself as he slipped on a thin fabric light hoodie and a pair of athletic shorts, leaving himself barefoot.

As he got into his truck, Alex sighed tiredly. He looked at his phone to see it was on low battery, and he had about a dozen calls and texts from Stiles, Allison, and Scott.

Confused, Alex began to scroll through the texts before reading one, which made him do a double-take. He immediately called Scott and put the phone to his ear.

The second Scott picked up, Alex was on his ass.

"What the hell do you mean by lizard?" he demanded.

"What? Alex? It's barely six in the morning," Scott groaned tiredly as Alex sighed frustratedly.

"Yeah, I know. I woke up in the woods an hour ago and just now checked my phone," Alex explained tiredly as he could hear Scott shoot up in his bed at this news.

"What? What do you mean you woke up in the woods? Didn't you chain yourself up?" Scott exclaimed in a panic, obviously assuming the worst. That Alex had gotten loose and killed someone.

"Yeah, I did. Apparently, I'm stronger than I thought cause I ripped through the chains with no problem and woke up buck-naked in the woods an hour ago. Now, I'll ask again. What do you mean when you said it looked like a lizard? And why was Allison with you?" Alex demanded as Scott began to explain what happened last night.

Last night, after Alex and Derek left, Allison came to Isaac's house and used the chains Stiles bought to lock Scott up in the freezer. Then, Scott heard Allison scream and broke out of the freezer to protect her. When he got there to protect her, he found a lizard-man-like creature with green scales covering its body. The thing had black razor-sharp teeth, large claws able to crawl on walls and ceilings, and yellow reptilian eyes with a tail as long as its body.
