The air was cold as it lingered around the air. my body shivered against the cold floor I sat on. I opened my eyes to see concrete walls surrounding me. Confusion plagued my mind as I looked around seeing a steel door in front of me, going to move my body I feel a cold metal against my wrists. Weakly I look up seeing shackles with chains snaking down against the wall, allowing minimal movement for me.The sound of footsteps outside catch my attention, "Hello." I weakly call out, gathering the strength to shout. "Hello!"
The footsteps stop for a moment, I regret my decision as soon as I heard them move towards the door. Pushing my body as close to the wall as I can. I squeeze my eyes shut hearing keys clash together as one turns the lock in the door.
A long creak signals the door opening, fear coursing through my veins as the footsteps grow closer to me. A small tear trickling down my cheek and fall on to my skin, just now realizing I was in only my bra and underwear. I begin to sob, I was never one to be fearful of anything, I was always outspoken and didn't care to hurt someone's feelings if needed. But right now.
I was terrified.
The room grows silent, only my sons to be heard. A familiar voice boomed against the small walls of the room, "Don't cry baby," My heart sunk, knowing this was the man from the parking garage. I open my eyes to see him right in front of me, staring me down, studying my movements. "You won't be in pain very long." He taunted, a devilish grin danced on his lips.
I sobbed uncontrollably, I was scared. I just wanted to go home, I missed my family, I missed my home, I missed everything.
"I'll take those shackles off once I know you won't attack me every-time I come in." He trailed off, staring at my exposed chest. "Plus it allows me to do with you as I please." He brings his hand, trialing his finger up my thigh and to the hem of my underwear. My breath becomes heightened, my heart beating at and uneasy rate. God this is the worst possible thing that could happen. I'm kidnapped and this man is just going to rape and kill me.
He drug his hand away confusing my slightly, but bringing relief to my mind. "But that's later. Right now, we've got business to do." He pulls my phone out of his pocket, holding the screen up to my face unlocking it. Bringing it to him he hides the screen, making me unable to see his actions.
"College is right around the corner." He mocked, rereading the caption I had posted. Laughing at his own remark. "You have your parents saved as contacts correct?" He looked up from the phone and into my eyes, the green orbs staring me down as his brown locs laid above them in slight curls.
"Where am I?" I yelled, growing annoyed of the man, "Where the hell am I? Why did you take me? Why did you-" He grabbed my throat, squeezing it so tight I couldn't finish my sentence.
"I'm sorry, I asked you a question. I expect you to answer." His eyes grew dark as his face hovered inches from mine, his hot breath exiting his nose and hitting my face as he angrily breathed.
I nodded all that I could with his hand around my throat. "Use your words baby." The same smirk plastered on his lips, as if he got off on this.
"Yes." I choked, barely able to breathe anymore as his grip tightened by the second, finally letting me go. Causing me to cough uncontrollably, almost throwing up.
"You just have to listen to me," He strolled the light my phone as he spoke. "And maybe I won't have to kill you."
I wanted to hide, crawl into a shell and never come over. Feel safety away from this man, I can't take the feeling of knowing I'm going to die. I don't want to die, I feel like I'm too young to die. I'm not ready to face what comes after this life, hell I haven't even faced this life yet.
He slid the phone in-front of me, turning it so I could see the contact he pulled up.
Dadio
My heart broke reading the name, oh how I missed him. I wish I could just be held by him, knowing he would never let me go, keeping his baby girl safe forever.
"Here's the deal. I'm going to call him, tell him the deal. Then let you talk to him so he knows you're not dead yet." Rubbing his eyes, looking stressed.
I stayed silent, just listening as he spoke. Not wanting to anger the man anymore than I already have. He looked at me before clicking the call button then pressing the speakerphone, hearing four rings before someone picked up.
"Hey baby girl, we've been trying to get ahold of you. Are you alright?" I went to speak but before I could the man started to talk.
"Listen, I have your daughter. She's chained up in my house right now, I have her sitting here in chains. She's shaking, her body must her body's probably freezing with no clothes on." He teased as he looked up at me, acting as if this was a game.
"I don't know who the hell you are, but if this is some kind of joke you'll be-"
"You think this is a fucking joke?!" The man roared at my father, seeing the anger build inside him more and more by the second. "Listen at this and tell me if this is a fucking joke." He grabbed the phone and held it in-front of my face. "Speak."
"Dad?" I cried, My voice cracking midway. "Madelyn? What, what's going on?" His voice trembled as I could hear my mom in the background asking questions.
"I don't know daddy, please come get me. Please daddy come help me!" The man brought the phone back to the ground, shushing me in the process.
"So this is how it's going to go, either I get $20 million dollars. Or, bless her little heart, your daughter will be coming home in a casket."
