"so what are we doing before alahna's dinner party?" nick asks as the group is gathered around the table
"oh! devin you should come to mine before so we can get dressed" alahna says
"oh yeah sure,but you'll have to pick me up so xander can use the car to get to the venue"
"or,he can just come to ours,matts gonna pick nate up might as well pick xander up before hand"
"really chris?" matt asks deadpan
"yes matt really"
"well okay,so we'll meet you guys at the venue at 6ish?" nick clears up to alahna and dev as they nod along
"what is that?" chris asks as if he just zoned in
"THE FUCKING TIME?"
the group laughs.
"dev,we've got submission today" matt gets up grabbing his bag
devin nods and gets up with him leaving the rest to just watch the scene in front
"now that was weird" chris turns to everyone
and a bunch of "agreed,for sure,right" erupt in the air

"matt and devin" the teacher calls out from the table as they both walk up to him with their sheets in their hands.
"here" matt says handing the papers to the teacher and he goes through it
"work looks neat you two" saying that he keeps the papers on the pile as devin and matt smile going back to their seat
"good work" matt says holding his fist up in the air
"you too" devin fist bumps him.

"who else is gonna be there at the dinner lahna?" chris asks as the group walks to their cars
"you know just a bunch of formal friends that are flying from LA,nessa,sab,chase,larray" alahna says
"thank god i'll have xander by my side" devin reacts to those names she's never heard before
"hey! you've got us too" chris side hugs her
"yea yea" devin smiles and returns the hug
"also,devin can you ask xander if he wants to hang out today i miss him" chris continues talking
"wow you want him around and you're not even gonna ask me if i wanna hang?" devin fakes a pout
"of course i meant the two of you" chris flicks her forehead
"that hurt bitch" devin tries getting back at him but he runs away to the car.
devin chuckles.

so pasta it is.

"devin when the fuck did you get better at mario kart" xander asks fiddling with his controller
"since she started hanging with us" chris says proudly
"i was always good at it,but i also always let you win because i dont like you whining" devin finishes the sentence as she wins the game.
"you can't beat me" matt says from dining table startling devin because she didn't even know he was in the room
"yea right" devin lets out sarcastic chuckle before turning back to the game
"what? you don't believe me?" matt asks getting closer to the couch where xander and her are sat
"nope" devin says,eyes still on the game
"xander" matt calls out as xander takes the sign and gives the controller to him and gets up from the couch
"make me proud" xander says slapping matts shoulder to which matt just looks up at him with straight face.

"YOU CHEATED" devin shouts as matt laughs with his hands on his stomach
"you can't cheat in this devin"  matt says in between in his laughs
"no i know you and xander were upto something" devin says tossing the controller and walking to the kitchen where she finds nick editing
"oh hi" nick says removing one of his airpods
"hi" devin says taking out a redbull ans sighing before sitting next to him
"matt?"
"matt."

"see you guys tomorrow at the dinner" nick says hugging both xander and devin goodbye
the two of them sit in the car together and devin starts to drive off.
"smoke?" xander asks to which devin just eagerly nods
"i actually dont think matts that awful" xander says smoking his cigarette
"you've seen nothing" devin smiles
"but its not like he's the most terrible guy ever" devin continues as she smokes her cigarette
"i've noticed how he can also be nice sometimes" devin talks and xander sits in silence
"he looks grumpy,but really isn't so much,and he's got a thing for soft toys they're all on his bed,they take up most the space hell he doesn't even have enough space for himself" devin catches herself smiling while talking about matt.
