"so are we gonna hang out this weekend or not" matt asks the table sitting up in his chair
"im busy" devin says making matt look at her
"what're you doing?" he asks squinting
"none of your business" devin replies
to which matt gives a confused expression,because jn all honesty he didnt expect her to go back to being a bitch with him.
"ANYWAYS devin we'll miss you,alahna,nate you guys in?"
"always" alahna smiles
"me too" nate replies
"come on chris we've got math" nick says getting up.
everyone leaving matt and devin slowly leave the table
devins on her phone texting away,and matt is watching her text away
"what" devin says looking up
"nothing,dont you have class?"
"don't you?"
"i asked first"
"yea,i do but i'm leaving now so" devin says grabbing her bag and getting up
"why?" matt asks
"god you're so nosy"
matt shrugs at her comment
"fine,i have to pack"
"pack? for what"
devin rolls her eyes and starts walking away to which matts reaction was to follow her
he catches up to her pretty quickly
"browne,im gonna bug you about it so might as well tell me"
"you're weird" devin says still walking
"i am the weird one? you're being a total bitch to me after i thought we'd become friends" matt stops in the parking lot
"we are okay! im just not in the mood today" devin looks away
"if you're done interrogating me can i please leave now?" devin continues
"you still haven't told me why you're packing"
"im going back to fort worth for the weekend"

"yea so now i've gotta go pick some cannoli for xander" devin says walking to her car
"you know i know a great place for cannoli" matt walks behind her
devin stops and sighs.

"oh these are delicious" devin says as she takes another bite of cannoli
"told you" matt replies sitting back in the passenger
he looks at her go for another bite and widen her eyes before she looks back at him
"you want some?" she asks
matt looks at her before leaning in and taking a bite from the piece in her hand
she watches him do that.
"mhm"

"now where to?" matt asks as devin drives
"im dropping you to school and going home" devin says
"you sound like a mom"
devin says silent
"come on let me tag along i'll be bored"
"you'll be even bored watching me pack,trust me"
"ill try and help"
"fine as long as you don't annoy me"

devin looks at him with a face
"i already regret this"
"anyways what time is your flight?"
"8pm tonight"
"so you have 6 hours now"

"matt is right baby,you should keep them separately they might leak in your clothes" devins nana says sitting on the bed watching them quarrel,she has been here since she came to give them some juice she claims that she likes seeing the two of them interact
"thanks nana" matt says before zipping a small bag of toiletries
devin rolls her eyes before sitting back on her bed
"well you kids keep bickering,ill go make some quick pasta"
the two of them watch nana leave the room
"okay in a few minutes we shall be done"
"thanks matt" devin says

"what?"
"ive been dying to hear a good thing from your mouth this entire time"
"hey,ive said some good things"

devin rolls her eyes

"nana this pasta is great,ill be coming here just for your cooking"
"oh i would love for devin to have company more often,bring your brothers"
"for sure"
"devin darling,are you sure you'll be okay staying at xanders?" nana asks after a pause in the conversation
"yea,its not like ive never stayed at his for days before"

"im not gonna go to moms"
"fine,but take care alright?"

matt watches this whole conversation go down in front of him.
"matt i'll drop you home" devin says getting up from the table
"yup"

"i had fun today" matt says
"okay"
"did you not have fun?"
"i did i guess"
"well i'll see you on monday?" matt says seeing that he's closer to his location
"you'll see me on monday" devin smiles at him as she stops in the sturniolo drive way.
he gets out of the car and waves one last time

devin smiles
