This is from the character's perspectives rather than your own. I have no clue why you like who you like so I won't project onto y'all lmao

* * * * *

Sayori

* It wasn't hard for her to realize she liked you.

* After all, she'd had a crush on MC a few months prior. She knew how this worked, and she knew how she felt when she liked someone.

* Sayori just refused to recognize that she liked you. She wouldn't let herself get her hopes up again, and she didn't have any expectation that you'd like her back.

* Your friendship was much more important than whatever romantic feelings she had.

* But subconsciously, Sayori would spend more time with you than the other club members. She'd always go to you first when it was time to share poems.

* It became way more obvious than she realized.

* "Geez, Sayori, leave some of Y/N for the rest of us," MC had joked one, and she'd promply smacked him upside the head with her poem (affectionately).

* Her poems would slowly start to take on more romantic undertones. The other members started to notice it. You didn't. Not really, anyway.

* With you, she was much happier. It was like you pulled her out of the lake she'd been drowning in for the past few years.

* But by herself, the guilt of liking someone she was so close to was biting at her. She didn't want to drag you down in any way.

* Sayori wanted to tell you how she felt, she really did. She just couldn't bring herself to say it. Not yet, at least.

Monika

* This wasn't supposed to happen. This wasn't supposed to happen.

* Monika was supposed to fall for MC. He was supposed to be the one. So why was it you that was always on her mind?

* Confounded was an understatement as to how she felt at first. But while it took time for her to understand and accept her emotions, she did get there.

* Maybe with you, there was a chance for something after all.

* She didn't change too much, but she eventually started to be more direct. Standing a little too close to you, lingering a little too long, sometimes throwing a few flirty lines into your conversations.

* If you're okay with physical touch, she'd do small things like that too, as long as it didn't make you uncomfortable.

* Sometimes she'd even let you sit with her while she practiced piano, and you would just watch, smile, applaud, and it always made her heart flutter. It was the closest she could get to being alone with you.

* Monika was going to tell you. She knew she would. She just needed to find the right time.

Natsuki

* This girl straight up refused to acknowledge that she was even remotely interested in you.

* There's a fine line between love and hate, right? That's what this is. She just disliked you so much that she thought she was attracted to you!!

* Except Natsuki really didn't hate you at all, actually. So that only left one option.

* ...

* Natsuki's whole personality is a tsundere, so of course she'd act like it when it dawned on her that she miiiiight have a little crush on you.

* She'd smack your arm a lot and blush and yell at you way more than everyone else.

* After a little while, Natsuki would start to bring you treats. Maybe an extra cupcake or two when you were with the Literature Club, and every so often she'd seek you out at lunch and mumble something about "I had leftovers" before handing you a dessert of some kind.

* The smile that would cross your face would always melt her heart, but she also refused to acknowledge that.

* She kept her poems simple. But if your writing style was a little different, she might slowly shift to writing something you'd like more.

* Eventually Yuri would notice, ask Natsuki about it, and almost get blown up with a rocket launcher (she refrained from commenting about Natsuki's writing changes after that).

* She limited the time she spent with you outside of the club, but everyone would notice how she always sat next to you when the club was in session.

* Natsuki didn't know if she wanted to tell you how she felt or not. God, what if you thought she was cute or something???

* ...well, maybe that wouldn't be so bad coming from you.

Yuri

* She was quite mature about it when she realized; she was probably the most calm out of all the club members, shockingly.

* But her issues with herself kept her from doing anything too obvious.

* Yuri would sit with you much more often during lunch and at the club. Though she was still quiet, she'd make an effort to converse with you if she wasn't reading.

* You were the first person who she told about her knife collection. The fact that you seemed genuinely interested only fueled her growing infatuation.

* Whenever Yuri would read your poems, she'd compliment them to no end, even if the style was something she'd typically be less drawn to.

* She'd get much more flustered if you ever complimented her work, though.

* Yuri's writing was increasingly metaphorical, as always, but she started to weave different undertones through her poems. It was either something more to your taste or something more romantic.

* After she learned more about your reading preferences, she'd start finding books she thought you'd like outside of school.

* If you mentioned a book Yuri hadn't read, she might read it to talk about it with you.

* Overall, she'd get flustered much easier, but wouldn't make any physical advances.

* If she was more confident in herself, Yuri probably would have told you by now. But she knew how long it would take for her to work up the confidence to even consider it.

* So she waited.
