As the bell rung signaling the beginning of the second half free was ready to face off against his opponent.
No matter who it may be,but taking their life would always be a dilemma for him.
He remembered Cellinia's words with a smile
"I'll be waiting"
"And perhaps what does she mean by that"
He thought to himself as he let out a chuckle
The gates before him opened,as he climbed up the stairs to enter the battle grounds once more.
His opponent was on the other side of the stadium already waiting.
"You two may now approach the centre"
Said the king on the microphone.
The two approached the centre of the stadium slowly to build suspense for the audience.
It was noon the time they fought,And free looked at his opponent seeing a young man about his age,with vibrant blue hair and red tips.
He had a pride fuelled smile around his face as he crossed his arms looking at free.
The king started to talk on the mic and started to introduce the two of them as if they were professional wrestler.
"ON THE RIGHT SIDE IF THE COLLOSEUM,THE BOY WITH THE BLUE HAIR"
"THE PRIDEFUL"
"THE DETERMINED"
"XAVIER LIONHEART"
The crowd went wild with excitement chanting Xavier's name.
"AND ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE COLLOSEUM,THE BLONDE PRINCE"
"THE ONE FROM A FALLEN KINGDOM"
"THE ONE AND ONLY"
"FREE MORNINGSTAR"
The crowd was even louder this time filled with pure ecstasy,free looked to the side as he saw Cellinia cheer him on with the king looking at him with sheer admiration.Free began to blush lightly.
"Well,well,well, looks like a certain someone has a crush on the princess"
Said Xavier taunting Free
"Too bad that if I were to win iiii would be the one to take her hand in marriage"
"Maybe I'd spare you at the end of this battle so you can see me take her with your own two eyes"
Free just gave him the side eye the most effective way to shut someone up.
"Aww is widdwe baby mad about a girl"
Said Xavier taunting him even more.
Free clenched his fist as he stared deep down into Xavier's soul.
"Hey partner,calm down"
Said Xavier
"I already know that I'm going to win so let's not get too hasty here"
"Oh we'll see"
Said Free
"May the two fighters take a few steps to the back"
Said the king
"Now both fighters ready your stances"
Free brandished his red blade and Xavier brought out the typical sword and shield load out.
"Are you two ready?"
"3"
"2"
"1"
"FIGHT"

Free stood still as Xavier was running in a zig zag pattern to confuse Free.
The prince Calmly tried to analyze his target to find any weak spots.but alas he couldn't,It was nearly impossible due to him moving at such high speeds with the shield that he used to protect himself.
Xavier tried to hit free with a cut to his side but free quickly reacted as he parried the attack.Sparks flew as Xavier was knocked back into a wall.
"You're not half bad, Morningstar"
Said Xavier
"But let's see if you can take this"
He rushed at free with his shield, attempting to ram him with the spike on his shield.But just as he got closer Free leaped into the air dodging the attack and moved his hand in such a gesture that it summoned multiple blades of wind to hit him.
"You're good"
"But I'm better"
Boasted Xavier after he took a beating from the wind blade.
Free landed as Xavier attempted to slice Free's arm off.But Free was better than that.He traded blows with Xavier
Sparks were flying in the air as the two boys clashed with their blades.Xavier managed to parry Free's attack with his shield knocking his weapon away from him.Free brought his left hand forward and let out a burst of energy that blinded him.
He later kicked the shield out of the blinded Xavier's hand and raised it above his head.and crashed it into Xavier's skull.
Xavier was on the ground with mild head trauma.Free approached the boy as he tried to crawl back.Free raised his blade near Xavier's head and drove it into the ground mere centimetres away from Xavier's neck.
He then proceeded the grab the boy in a chokehold and charged up a ball of energy in his left palm.
"Hey hey maybe we could talk about this"
"No need to kill me yknow"
Said Xavier as he tried to reason with free
"Yknow what?"
"You're right Xavier"
"I shouldn't kill you"
"Instead ... I'll break you"
Said Free with a sadistic look on his face.
Free proceeded to throw Xavier in the air and catch him by grabbing his wrist and slamming him on the floor multiple times.He later summoned two stone pillars that chained Xavier between them.Free decided to give him the beatdown of a lifetime, throwing fierce punches at rapid pace making his face black and blue making him wish he was dead.
And the finishing blow,Free grabbed him out of the chains and raised his body high,he then slammed it down while raising his knee breaking Xavier's back.
Xavier let out a bloodcurdling scream as Free let out a sadistic laugh.and so he proceeded to grab His blade and raised it above his heart.
And then he said
"There is no honor in killing a man with his whole life ahead of him"
"That beatdown I just gave you was just payback for what you said earlier"
"I'll spare you for now"
The crowd boo'd Free for not killing Xavier there and then.Even the king picked up the mic and uttered the words
"Kill him now or else you're disqualified"
The princess stepped in and reasoned with her father to let Free be. Her father of course willing to do anything for his precious daughter, kindly obliged.
"Very well Free,we can conclude the battle here if you want to"
"Or you can just kill him"
"Wait, your majesty"
"Let me do one more thing"
With an evil smile on his face,he channeled the forbidden ability to Bloodbend which he had learnt from the archives of solaris before it's downfall.
He then pointed it at Xavier's crotch area and made a twisting gesture with his hand.
Xavier screamed in agony as free had just affected the young man with testicular torsion.
The princess began to laugh to which Free said
"Alright,I've had enough fun"
Though he walked away feeling all cool like a superhero from an action movie he watched when he was younger.He still felt as if he had gone too far which made his heart feel uneasy (Extremely uneasy)
And the king rung a bell.and congratulated Free as he won his first battle. 'i went too far' he said as he entered the hallway and just now only came to his senses
'well there's nothing else I can do I guess'
He said as he plopped down somewhere empty struggling to open a bottle of water until eventually giving up...
And now he must wait for his next opponent.
