Ch.39 Call to the inferno

"Why should I follow you"
Said Akira
Free suddenly said with a golden glow in his eyes
"It's time"
"We must gather.."
"Solstice...."
Akira instantly complied and got up
Free called the others signaling that they have to go.
Cellinia and the others started to leave.
The group now with Akira gathered outside the colloseum.
Free walked out making everyone follow him
"Where are we even going"
Asked Douglas
"Don't question"
"It's our mission"
Said Akira and free simultaneously
"I need to bring everyone somehwhere first"
Free said as he held out his right hand and put two fingers on his forehead with his left.

He teleported everyone to what seemed to be the ruins of a kingdom.
"Where are we"
Asked azaline.
"The ruins of my kingdom..."
"Solaris"
Said Free before he turned back to Phanes.
Phanes went to the castle grounds before he summoned eternity's edge and walked to the centre of the courtyard.
He noticed the late emperors body.perfectly preserved after all this time laying lifeless
Phanes looked at his Kate adoptive father and crouched down
"Hey dad..."
He said with a sorrowful look
"I came back here to do something important"
"Look at how far I've gotten dad, I've got some new friends and look at how strong I've gotten"
"If you were still.here you'd be proud"
He said as tears rolled down his cheek
"I'll give you a proper burial...I swear"

Phanes raised eternity's edge and plunged it into the ground releasing a beacon of light.
Suddenly from all around there came people who instantly teleported to Phanes
"Is it already time Phanes?"
One of them asked
"Yes,nova"
"The final act may commence"
Said Phanes as everyone began to transform into Angels
The angels have gathered on earth to find Lucifer.
But now they have gathered to end the cult.
There were others that didn't transform as they were only mere mortals.
"Mortals"
Free said
"Stay here"
Free then went to Cellinia
"Take care of everyone"
He said as he gave her one last kiss on the cheek before setting out to destroy the cult.

"ANGELS"
"WE HAVE GATHERED HERE TO END THE CULT ONCE AND FOR ALL"
Shouted Phanes as he raises his blade
The rest of the angels cheered
"THEY ARE ALL IN LUNARIS"
"AND SO LUNARIS WE SHALL DESTROY"
Phanes said as they all unfurled their wings and started began flying at high speeds

"Something is different about Phanes"
Said one of them as they soared
"He seems malevolent"
Continued Solstice
"I think he might be him but I'm not so sure"
He continued as they reached their destination.
They all gathered Infront of the gates.
"Kill all cult members"
Said Phanes as he saw all the people in the kingdom
"They might seem innocent but this kingdom is the headquarters for these type of scum"
"ANGELS"
"CHARGE"
Said Phanes,the angels refused to listen to his orders standing still rather than  slaughtering people,all the angels knew the sin that he was committing but they didn't interfere.
Phanes used eternity's edge and cut many people down using magic to burn them alive and cause ruin throughout the city.
Everyone in the ruins of solaris could only see plumes of smoke and beams of light.
"Phanes whatever you're doing please stop"
"IT'S DOWNRIGHT STUPIDITY"
Said the angel of the lovers arcana
"YOU'RE TORTURING TOO MANY INNOCENT SOULS"
Phanes looked down on him
"THE PLAN MAY BE RUSHED BUT I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING"
"SURE THERE'S NO FURTHER INVESTIGATION BUT IVE HAD ENOUGH I KNOW ALL OF THEM ARE HERE"
He said as he raised his palm towards the city's core
"GIGA FLARE"
He cried as a giant beam of concentrated energy burst out of his palm incinerating the city, causing it to explode.
As the dust settled a sinkhole appeared amidst the rubble.
As Phanes descended to investigate
Other angles tried to hold him back due to the fear of him killing the survivors.
"WE'RE GUARDIANS PHANES"
Cried the angel of strength
Free pushed him away
"YOU ALL MIGHT BE GUARDIANS"
"BUT IM A DESTROYER"
"IM BETTER THAN ALL YOU SHITHEADS"
said Phanes as 6 hooded figures appeared Infront
"You lot....."
Said Phanes as he rose his sword
The 6 figures we're the remaining heads of the cult after Greed defected.
The hooded members then transformed into demonic beings like his father and Heinz
Before Phanes could even act they all fell into the sinkhole.
Phanes jumped inside to chase them down with all the other angels chasing after him.
As they fell the hole went from being extreme dark until then plummeting into a red landscape,that had flames everywhere,demons were flying with sinners being punished in every turn.
They were in hell.... All of them
"Careful angels"
"We can't touch anything of demonic origin,unless you have a death wish"
Said Malice angel of the devil arcana.
"He's here..."
Said a demon as he looked at Phanes.
Phanes chased down the demon turned heads of the cult until he cornered them Infront of Lucifer's tomb,where he was last seen.

"We know who you are Phanes"
Said the head of gluttony in a distorted voice.
"You're one of us"
He said
"One of US"
"One of us"
They chanted surrounding Phanes.Phanes released a burst of energy knocking everyone back as he ran into the tomb
Phanes saw a pedestal that had a Darkwood lever action rifle with gold accents with a barrel that had a blade on its top and bottom.
The angels had already caught up to Phanes
"STOP PHANES"
"THAT RIFLE WAS THE WEAPON OF SATANAEL THE FIRST FALLEN ANGEL"
"DON'T TRY IT"
Said Solstice trying to stop him
But phanes's ego already got to him he took the rifle off its pedastal and screamed in agony as the weapons demonic presence began to consume him.

Everything suddenly stopped as he walked out silently with rifle in hand.
He aimed the rifle towards the heads of the cultists.

"What even are you"
Asked an angel
Phanes had a distraught look on his face as he pulled the lever and shot cultist.

"He really is one of us"
Said another cult leader before he got shot
Phanes then unloaded the rest of the bullets to the other ones leaving only Wrath behind.
Phanes took of wraths hood to reveal mephisto,the man who killed emperor hikaru.
"DON'T SHOOT ME,I AM ONE WITH SATAN HIMSELF"
he cried
Phanes carefully aimed at his head before saying
"I killed his ass millennias ago"
