The divine Comedy: Lucifer's second act

Ch.50 Death of an angel

Two brothers,once enemies now allies fight side by side to defeat Khaos.
"Never thought I'd be fighting alongside the devil"
Said Michael
"Why don't you just call me your brother"
Said Lucifer
"Aye,I could do that"

The two looked at khaos dead in the eye before they began their counterattack.
With the speed of light they struck the dark lord with their blades.
With each hit they landed,a part of him was cleansed of the void damaging him.
Every hit counts,no matter how many times khaos reformed his body.The two archangels would attempt to strike him down.

Lucifer pulled out his rifle and shot at khaos rapidly, Michael used god's divine power to summon beams of holy light to cleanse and purify the void.
Tendrils were summoned that damaged the two angels.
Khaos tried to beat them by summoning clones of dark angels
Cherubs,Seraphs the two didn't care
No matter how much they resembled their brethren the two wouldn't stop no matter what.

Khaos finally stopped attacking,He concentrated all his power from all around the void and launched an attack that aimed to destroy Lucifer.
He released a piercing beam of darkness towards the fallen angel.
Michael saw the beam and jumped Infront of the beam.
Several tendrils stabbed him as the beam pierced his body.

"MICHAEL"
Cried Lucifer, seeing his brother throw away his own life just to save his.
The tendrils released him as Michaels body fell to the ground.
"Just like I said"
"Child's play"
Said khaos as he stood in the distance
Lucifer ran to his brother's dying body.
"MICHAEL"
Yelled Lucifer as he held his body
"No need to be sad brother"
Said Michael comforting the devastated Lucifer.
"I won't die"
"Only my physical body will"
"My spirit will eventually come back to heaven and return to serve our god"
He said as coughed up blood.
The divine blood from Michael spilled on Lucifer's hand burning it slightly due to his demonic nature.

"Michael...."
"If I die"
"Will I be able to walk the heavens with all of you once more"
Asked Lucifer as he looked his brother in the eye
"You've rebelled against our creator"
"You killed to many innocents"
"And you've caused to much chaos"
"I'm afraid not brother..."
He said as his final breaths left his body
"Before I go"
"Take this..."
Said Michael as he put his hand on Lucifer's chest and gave him the strength that God had blessed Michael with.
Michael's body turned to ash as his soul returned to heaven.

Satan's wrath had taken over Lucifer's mind as he went on a blind vengeance fuelled rage and charged at khaos punching him rapidly multiple times.
Khaos stood there taking all the hits.
Lucifers attempts were futile,he was sent flying back to where he was by a sudden burst of energy.

On his knees,he trembled in fear he felt as if he was going to throw up.he was afraid that he'll lose his life here and be forgotten.he can't let that happen.
"Hey"
"Want me to take over?"
Said Phanes from inside of Lucifer
"Why would I"
"This is my fight"
Said Lucifer
"Yeah Luce"
"But we are two sides of the same coin"
"This is my battle as well"

"I'm not going to fuse with the likes of you"
"Never,not in a million years"
"You just want to fuse with me for your own good that's it"

The two separated from one another,Phanes stood staring down at Lucifer on his knees gathering strength to take down the anti god .

"Well if it isn't my humble creation"
"My most beloved"
Said khaos looking at Phanes
"Too bad I made you out of light,that putrid aether that you have is spoiling my home just like all the other angels"

Taking a deep breath Phanes looked at his other self.

He set his voice in a softer tone.
"Lucifer, it's time we accept who we truly are. We've spent eons apart, denying our shared existence."

"Phanes, I've always seen you as a separate entity, a glorified version of me."

"And I saw myself as the culmination of your rebellion, a reflection of your defiance. But the truth is, we are neither wholly good nor evil. We are both."

"Phanes, you don't understand. I've been my own entity for eons, and I fear losing myself in your light."
Said Lucifer in a frustrated tone gripping the void.

"I know you have your own identity, your own desires and fears. But together, we can be something greater. We can bring balance to the realms, harmony where there is chaos."
"Lucifer, returning to me doesn't mean losing yourself. It means finding your true purpose, embracing both light and darkness within you. It means unity, not annihilation"
Said Phanes attempting to reason with him.

"I've fought against this union for so long, fearing it would diminish my identity.Its time I end this conflict within me"

"I, too, feared losing myself in your darkness. But, Lucifer, together, we can be something more"

Phanes extends his hand, a radiant light glowing from his palm. Lucifer hesitates for a moment before finally placing his hand in Phanes's. As their hands touch, a brilliant fusion of light and darkness envelops them
The chamber fills with a blinding light as Phanes and Lucifer merge into a singular entity, their union symbolizing the reconciliation of their duality. In their unity, they radiate a profound sense of harmony and purpose, ready to bring balance to the celestial realms.

The two fused into a brand new being, a being beyond an angel.
It retained Phanes's appearance but his forearms were covered in Dark demonic armour with spikes protruding out.
His lower half carried a more demonic demeanour with dark armour and cracks flowing with hellfire.
His hair was the same snow white spikes but with small streaks of fire running through.
He opened his golden eyes as a pair of Pearlescent wings unfurled shaking off feathers that brought light wherever it landed.

The void shook as the fusion between good and evil emerged.
With light radiating from.his being he said

"What you saw just now was Phanes and Lucifer"
"But this is something beyond that"
"Higher than a seraph"
"We've done it"
"This is it"
"The true Archangel"
"This is...."

"This is Phanes..."
