As morning broke and Free prepares to set off to meet some important people.He bid farewell to his lover as he exited the penthouse.
"I have to find him"
He said as he exited the building.
Suddenly,he heard sounds of fighting in a nearby forest.So of course he decided to investigate.
There he saw a man about his age,with long hair repeatedly punching a boulder.
The man later sat down with his backs against a tree.
Free decided to approach him.The man suddenly disappeared.As Free continued walking the man jumped down from a tree attempting to attack Free.Free quickly reacted by grabbing his arm and slamming him onto the ground.Pinning him on the floor restraining an arm behind his back.
"Well"
"If it isn't,Douglas"
Free said as he looked down upon the man.
"Free?"
The two instantly recognized each other even with the drastic changes to their appearances.
Free released Douglas as he got back up dusting himself off in the process.
"The police said you were a dead man"
"How in god's name are you here"
"Well it's a long story"
"But I see you've been working out more as of now"
Free said as he was ready to turn back and continue to meet some other people.
"Wait"
"Before you go"
Douglas said grabbing Free's shoulder
"Hmm?"
Free looked back
"Wanna grab some breakfast?"
"My classes are starting soon and I haven't eaten anything since before this Training session"
Said Douglas as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.
"Fine"
"But you're paying"
Free said as they both walked to a nearby diner.
"So"
"What happened to you"
"You're now blond and carrying a big old sword in public"
Asked Douglas as he was wolfing down a plate of food.
Free took a sip of coffee as he explained the whole story.
"Well I know the kidnapped part"
"I didn't know some emos decided to experiment on you"
"And you're now a prince?"
"Let me guess you also have a princess huh?"
Said Douglas as he grabbed a cup of coffee and chugged it down like there's no tomorrow.
"Doug,it's not funny"
"And yes,I do have my own princess"
"And we're engaged...kinda"
Free said as he crossed his arms, pouting as a light blush appeared on his face.
Douglas spit out his coffee in disbelief
"YOU GOT A GIRL"
he said in suprise
"DUDE YOU GOT MY SHIRT WET"
"SURE IT'S BLACK BUT STILL"
"ITS A COFFEE STAIN"
"GODDAMN"
Free said as he grabbed a few napkins to wipe off what he could.
"Anyways"
"Yes she's royalty"
"And I'm royalty too"
Free said with a prideful look on his face
"Now I need to go to the police department"
"Enjoy your classes Doug"
Free left the diner
"Wait Free how about school aren't you gonna come back?"
Asked Douglas
Free looked back at him and answered with
"When I was adopted into the solarian royal family my adopted mother AKA the empress crammed all my studies in a period of 4 years"
"I know how to run a country at this point"
"Literally"
He then walked out of the diner heading to the Aetherian police department
As he approached the police department standing Infront of its entrance he was shaking as he didn't know exactly what to say and he's Afraid that his sword might get confiscated.
He took a deep breath and gathered all his courage as he walked in.
"And what would you like to report sir"
Said a man working at the desk in the main hall.
"Are you still searching for Free Morningstar"
"The case that happened 4 years back"
Free asked slamming his hand on the table.
The man looked at him with an uninterested face and said
"The search lasted for a year until all our leads had been exhausted"
"We just declared the boy a dead man and carried on with our own business"
"Why do you ask?'
A smile appeared on Free's face.
"Well"
"Would you believe if I said that..."
"I am the person that you declared Dead"
The man looked at free and began to laugh.
"Sure kid, why don't you just haul yourself over to the detectives office"
"I'm sure he'll Believe you"
He said as he pointed at door that had a bronze plaque with the name 'Detective Gerrard' carved into it.
Free entered the room as he saw a man standing by a board with multiple pieces of paper and pictures pinned onto it most of them regarding recent homicide cases or other kid kidnappings
The man turned back as he said
"Why hello there young man"
"Shouldn't you be at school?"
Free sat down in a chair as he asked the officer about his case.
"The rest might have declared him dead"
"But I still think he's out there"
"But if you're here just to question and not give anything of use then I suggest you leave"
Said the officer
"Detective officer whatever Is should call you"
"I'm him"
Free said
The detective took a look at him and inspected an old photograph of him four years back
"No way you're him"
"Sure you have the feminine looks he possessed and the coal black eyes"
"But your hair is too different"
"Unless"
He grabbed vial of blood that he kept from his trip to the Abandoned laboratory the place where free disappeared many years ago
"Boy"
"Give me a sample of your blood"
"But first follow me"
Ordered the detective as he lead him to a room that dealt with forensics
There was a machine there that could accurately pinpoint and find Culprits or victims with any piece of DNA be it blood,saliva,or even hair.
Free grabbed his sword as he slit his finger to release some blood into a vial. Some time after the detective put the two separate vials into the machine.
The machine extracted the blood and scanned it atom by atom, molecule by molecule,cell by cell until it finally finished searching through the twins database only to find out that there was traces of Free's blood inside the old vial.
And the DNA matched meaning that he wasn't dead in fact he was standing right next to the detective
The detective looked in shock as he looked at Free.
"Go to my office NOW"
"We need to talk"
After they entered free got interrogated of every little detail that happened ever since he went missing.
One interrogation session later...
"A cult"
"It's exactly like the one I found while searching for you"
"That means we have a lead"
"The blind eye you say..."
"We need to find them somehow"
The detective said as he wrote down every single detail
"Please sir"
"Let me help"
"I'm sure I'll be of use"
Free said
"Well we can consider as you are actually the only person to have firsthand experience with this cult"
"I guess we can give it a shot"
"DOES THAT MEAN IM A DETECTIVE"
Said Free as his eyes glowed
"Yeah yeah whatever kid"
The detective said as he gave free an old detectives badge
"Now go find some more clues"
"Report back if you find anything"
Said the detective as he lead free out
"Well,it seems that I'm a detective now"
Free said as he made his way back home
Not knowing what to do next
"Maybe I'll just start tomorrow"
