'Notice of eviction'.

I couldn't believe the words that I was reading on the pink slip of paper that was taped to my apartment door. Panicked, I tore it off and began to read the letter over and over again, I had a week before I was expected to leave and find a new place to live. Due to financial problems, the landlord had to let many residents go. Unfortunately I was one of the few.

Tears welled in my eyes. I couldn't believe it. I barely moved in two months ago after I lived with my brother Kaden. He was a little older than me, about two years older. He was 23 and I was 21. Before living with Kaden I lived with our parents as I attended the community college in our town. During this time Kaden had a house with his friends that I would occasionally stay at whenever I got into a fight with our parents. The friends he used to live with before moving out were guys he met online playing video games. Their names were Evan, Roy, Cob, and Yumi/Blake.

My brother Kaden is a well known YouTuber with the name Tuxbird. His main focus has been rainbow six siege. But he plays a variety of games, especially with me. Ever since we were young we shared a love for video games. I was and still am a console player at heart but times change and Kaden eventually persuaded me into getting a pc.

I let out a sigh, shaking my head and opened the door and stepped into my apartment. I decided to call my brother, thinking I could stay with him again. I walked over to my beat up couch and took a seat, pulling out my phone. I took a deep breath and pressed on the contact 'Big Bro :)'.

A moment passed before he answered.

"Hello? (Y/n)?"

I smiled. It felt nice to hear his voice. We haven't talked to each other recently. I almost forgot what I was calling about before I remembered and blurted out the question.

"Can I stay with you again?"

Silence. I waited patiently for my brother to respond. He was taking too long to reply for my taste so I decided to explain myself.

"I'm being evicted. The landlord is having money problems and needed to let some people go. And guess what, I just so happen to be one of the lucky ones!" I said with fake happiness oozing from my voice.

Again Kaden was silent. I was starting to get worried. I went to say something again but was cut off when he finally began to speak.

"I'm really sorry about that (Y/n), and under different circumstances I would be happy to have you stay with me again." He began softly.

I frowned. He wasn't going to let me stay?

"I'm seeing this girl, and we're pretty serious. She's moved in and we have a dog.. there's no room for you anymore."

He wasn't serious. "What?! It's only been about two months.. how has she already moved in?"

He let out a sigh and I could tell he was starting to feel bad.

"I know that (Y/n). Maybe you can call mom and dad."

My frown deepened. He can't seriously forget what happened. I no longer was on speaking terms with our parents. We got into a massive argument and they said some hurtful things. I don't know if I would ever forgive them. There's no way I would go back and live with them.
