Several Months Later
I said it. I knew it. Our song was a hit everywhere. It wasn't as big as all the other songs played on the radio but it was a hit to get us on the Arsenio Hall Show. Yes I said it we are invited to sing on the Arsenio Hall show next week, but this week we have to shoot the video.
"Hey Toni," Babyface said.
"Hey Babyface,"I responded giving him a huge hug.
"I'm so excited to be here doing my first music video yayy,"I said excited.
"Where's your man?"he asked.
"Oh he stayed at home today,"I answered.
"Good now we can really make a video,"he said.
"What you mean?"I asked.
"I'm your boyfriend today so just follow my lead okay,"he said.
"Oooookayyy,"I said confused.
After he said that, I went into my dressing room to get ready. I was excited because I had my own makeup artist and hair stylist. The lady doing my makeup was some lady named Trish. She was pretty nice and cool. I liked her.
"Okay I'm about to add some blush right here okay," she said.
"Please don't,"I said.
"Why not?"she asked.
"Blush makes me look like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz," I answered causing her to laugh.
"This won't trust me,"she said.
"Okay,"I said regretting even saying that.
"There you look gorgeous,"she said.
"I do huh thanks,"I said.
"Toni they need you on the set," one of the crew men said.
"Okay I'll be out in a minute,"I said.
I let Trish finish my makeup then I let my hair stylist Rhonda fix my hair. After all of that, I got dressed and put my shoes on. Then when I was finished I walked out to find Babyface flirting with this fairly attractive woman so I waited until he was finished so I could talk.
"Alright baby call me,"he said to the woman.
"Girlfriend?"I asked.
"Shit Toni you scared and no she's just a friend for now,"he said.
"Mmhmm,"I said not quite believing him.
"Any who are you done getting ready?"he asked.
"Uhh yes,"I said.
"Okay well then let me tell you what we're gonna be doing,"he started,"See the idea of the video is two people who obviously have feelings for each other and they are expressing those feelings by telling their lover what can happen, what is happening, and all that if they would just give each other each other's hearts."
"Okay,"I responded.
"So in order to show that we mean it towards each we have to develop chemistry,"he said.
"Okay let's do it,"I said.
The director ended up sending us to our spots and they started to play the music. I started lip singing first and I felt Babyface dancing behind me which I was okay with at first until he wrapped his arms around me. That kind of made me very uncomfortable and it showed in my facial expressions.
"Cut!"the director yelled,"What's the problem here Toni."
"Hey I got it let me handle it,"Babyface said.
