"Ms. Toni?"Gary said.
"Yes,"I responded.
"Umm are you...I just finished with the filter in the pool,"he said.
"Oh yes um thank you,"I said.
"So I guess I should be going now unless you know want me to stick around a bit,"he said.
"Uh it's up to you I could um use the extra company,"I said.
"Cool soo may I...?"he asked pointing to the couch.
"Uh sure yea of course,"I said.
We both sat down on the couch.
"Sooooo,"he started.
"Sooooo,"I added making him laugh.
"I'm sorry,"he said holding his mouth to keep from laughing so hard.
"It's okay Gary,"I said hitting his leg,"So where are you from?"
"Uhh Philly actually,"he said.
"Okay so you're from Philadelphia cool,"I said.
"What about you?"he asked.
"Maryland,"I said.
"Oh that's cool I've visited there before,"he said.
"Well I bet it wasn't much of a visit huh?"I asked.
"No it wasn't,"he said making me laugh,"But it was interesting and historical in a sense."
"Well that's Maryland for you boo,"I said.
"So um what do you like to do besides singing?"he asked randomly.
"Um I really don't get to do many things because of work and Nayla so I really just like to chill I guess,"I said.
"Chill?"he asked.
"Yea just relax and chill,"I said.
"Well maybe sometime we could just chill together,"he said.
"Ummm Gary..."I started.
"I'm sorry it's just....there's nothing wrong with hanging out I love making new friends,"he said.
"We can be friends I'm cool with that,"I said,"Just as long as you know I'm still married."
"I completely understand,"he said.
"Yea so what's going on with the pool?"I asked.
"Uh it just needs to be clean and ready for your daughter to start her swimming lessons,"he said.
"That's cool so how long you've been a life guard?"I asked.
"Since I was a teenager,"he said.
"Okay okay,"I said.
"Mommy,"I heard Nayla say.
"Yes sweetie,"I said looking over my shoulder.
"Hey mister,"she said.
"Hey cutie,"he said.
"What was it that you wanted?"I asked.
"Can we watch a movie today?"she asked.
"Uhh sure,"I said.
"Do you wanna watch a movie with us?"she asked Gary.
"Sure why not,"he said.
"Go get the movie you want to watch okay and hurry back,"I said.
"Yes ma'am,"she said.
"She's too cute she looks just like you,"he said,"beautiful."
