Damon was not allowing Ben anywhere near his daughter at the moment even though he doubted that after he explained everything he would then let him actually see her he still wanted to know how he was there. He had been dead for a century and out of no where he showed up at their doorstep like it was nothing.
Stefan also made sure to keep the girl far away from him she didn't have a say in it but she really didn't have anything to say anyways. Ever since she saw him she was silent like if she was still in shock which was understandable.
Everyone else sat with her in the kitchen not daring to make a sound just watching how Stefan stood close by to her even if she didn't move or talk. Stefan gave her time but he wanted to make sure the girl was fine and not contemplating doing anything else.
Like turning it off.
"Rory...are you okay?" Stefan finally spoke to her but she didn't even look at him she just sat looking straight at the wall. "Rory..."
"Stefan give her time..." Caroline muttered, careful with her words.
"I know she's not okay, who would be but it's best if she expresses it instead of staying silent..." Stefan replied then turned his attention back to aurora. "Rory please just talk to me.."
This time Aurora actually looked at him and that's all he needed to know the girl was so close to breaking down and it made him afraid. Afraid that if she kept that in it would destroy her and take her back to the spot she fought so hard to get out of.
That's when Stefan decided to call Elijah even if they hated to admit it they had a connection and she cared about him and she found great comfort in him. The girl needed someone really bad and he believed the best person for that at the moment was Elijah.
Anyone could see the hurt in auroras face all the trauma coming back. Even if they didn't know the full story they knew the death of him scarred her really bad. They didn't expect an explanation but they wanted to be there for her.
Caroline was the first to get up to approach the girl receiving a few looks from the rest but she did it anyway.
"Rory, do you need anything? I could make you something..." Caroline offered, still making sure to give her space.
"Luna" aurora barely got out and the blonde looked over to the rest shocked that she actually replied but immediately went to look for the cat so she could bring it to Aurora.
In the living room Damon had sat Benjamin down, not letting him speak until he was spoken to or allowed to. He was still trying to process himself on how this was actually happening but he couldn't find the way how, so he was left to finally question him.
