I never knew my legs could run that fast as I finally step onto the elevator. Lila and Ace finally returned from Italy and I couldn't be more grateful.

I was desperately missing her, but I wasn't about to dump all that's just occurred on her. The amount of stress she has is unimaginable, I know that truly.

It's been a week since I saw him, since he held me one last time in his arms and I promised I'd call. I would, but I didn't know how to or what I'd even say. My mouth only had so many words to use before I'd screw up.

I'd been working on coping over my screwed up future plans. Ones that consisted of me as a mother some day that now looked a bit skewed. My mom worried but she trusted me to head back to school.

I look down at my outfit. I stood in a pajama set with small oranges on it and a sock monkey in hand. I basically rose out of bed and just ran, I even had my sleep slippers on. Now they were dirty from the streets of New York, but I didn't mind. I'd get to see Lila, even in a sleepy state.

The elevator doors open and I step out quickly before the doors trapped me in, "You look like a little lost kid?" I look up to see Lila examining me.

"I thought we were wearing our pj's?" I excuse as it was eight thirty in the evening, the sock monkey was unexplainable. It was won for me at a carnival by Alex, well Adonis years back. I slept with it almost every night, some things you just can't let go.

"Bold, white slippers in New York City?" His voice sends a thrilling sensation up my spine as I hear it. I almost smile at the sound of it but I playfully roll my eyes, now this yet again was embarrassing.

"And who are you?" I tease him and he scoffs in reply "Hey that wasn't an answer? Just a rude gesture?" He stared at me amused by my playfulness and offered his hand out.

"Adonis Ambrose... and you are?" He waits for me to respond and I pause relishing in the man's last name. I would so be doing some google searches this evening. After a certain amount of time as passed, my ego concedes me.

I roll my eyes at him "Lila's best friend Sloan Casey, I was there on Christmas?" He sucks in his lips nodding and I shook his hand. My attention turns to Lila, "Well go change!"

Personally I wanted her to leave the two of us alone. Maybe I was going absolutely insane, but I needed a moment.

"I'm waiting for my pancakes!" I halt not knowing if I heard her correct.

Wait, this girl hates pancakes more than anyone else. She scurried upstairs with Ace, I knew full well what they were about to do. I knew I should probably be putting in earplugs.

"So Miss Casey, any thoughts?" I look to see him staring at me waiting for a response.

"We take it slow" I warn. His arms swiftly pull me into his embrace as I quickly look up the steps afraid for them to catch us, "We both know Ace and her are fucking right now."
