LMK request one-shots

Yandere Macaque

Okay so I'm super excited about this one, this next request is from @ICEONNECK who wanted a yandere Macaque protecting/keeping MK away from his friends and keeping him hostage. I really enjoy yandere AU's so I'm very excited to see how this goes and finally get to write one. Also thank you so much for your enthusiasm and compliments! (Sorry it took so long for me to get to this one) 

(Set after season 4 of Lego Monkie Kid)

Macaque hadn't originally planned to get attached. MK was just a tool and he was going to use him, but then things got out of hand. He fought Wukong, the kid stopped him, and suddenly things were a tiny bit different. Then later on Wukong left, leaving his little student all alone and Macaque put on his shadow play, happy to teach the kid a lesson. 

That, too, didn't go as planned. 

Then the Bone Demon came to collect, and Macaque found himself forced to chase after the kid and his idiot master, angry just to find the kid all out of power. How did he even think he could defeat the Lady Bone Demon when he was completely defenseless?! He goaded him into forcing that power out, surprised by his own desperate relief when the kid managed to stop him, and feeling flickers of pride each time he used another power.  

He wasn't sure why, or what it was yet, but there was something about this kid that made him care.

He didn't find it till much later just how important that kid would be to him. 

Much later the scroll happened, and like every other time, Macaque found himself finding the boy, unsurprised to find him sitting on the edge of a ledge at Flower Fruit Mountain after Wukong had been trapped in the scroll, alone without any of his friends. 

Not that his friends would be useful right now, why would they be, when Macaque was here to help? Then MK had flashed golden for a moment, his form flickering between human and monkey and Macaque struggled to hide his wide-eyed surprise, heart thumping in his chest as it suddenly clicked and a word formed in his mind. Cub.

MK was young, just a little baby, practically! Just getting the hang of his powers and Macaque was the only person who could help him, teach him. He slung an arm around the kid's shoulder, resisting the urge to pull him close and rest his chin on the top of the kid's head soothingly or chirp at him, knowing now wasn't the right time. 

So he let MK go, watching him gain his courage again and trying to fight off the ache and longing in his chest when he was left alone, something itching at him to go get the kid back. I mean, what if he got hurt? What if something bad happened? His friends had proven they couldn't look after him and Wukong was a fucking disaster and Macaque wanted him here. Panic flooded his mind at the kid, his cub, being out of sight and he growled as he clenched his hands into fists, loathing that he had to wait. 

And wait he did, he waited until MK came back with his friends and Nezha, the kid full of adrenaline and smiles again and then they got Wukong back and MK was so good, like a star in the darkness as he convinced Wukong to come back with them. Macaque was so proud. 

Then he noticed the way MK looked at Wukong as they planned to fight Azure, like Wukong had personally hung the sun in the sky and a scowl grew on his face, chest seething a writhing with resentment and jealousy. He hated that MK was so blinded, Wukong was just going to let him down. Macaque would never do that. He'd keep him safe, and teach him all he needed to know. 

He'd never abandon him.

He wanted to scoop MK up right then and there and take him away but forced all of his body to restrain himself. They had a fight, and despite what his mind screamed at him, MK could look after himself.
