This next request was by @Slamalmlky221maicom who wanted a chapter where Sun Wukong meets Macaque for the first time in the forest by a river, and the thing that most catches his attention is his six ears.

Wukong jumped from tree to tree, gleeful at the feeling of the wind in his fur as his tail coiled around each branch, flinging him from one to the other. It was fun, and although Wukong was alone, he was having a great time.

He jumped through the forest of the mountain he was 'born' on, Flower Fruit Mountain, laughing and whooping as he jumped to a stop, perching on the edge of a particularly tall tree leaning out and looking at the rest of this side of the island, a great big grin on his face as he breathed in the cool air.

It was nice, but he quickly grew bored of the view and jumped back down to the ground, landing with a flourish and bowing at no one for his skills. It was fun, but he was hot and his fur was sticky with sweat, an uncomfortable feeling that made him swivel his head around for a river or something. He saw a sliver of a stream through the trees not too far away and grinned to himself as he darted off in that direction.

Jumping back up into the trees, he swung from branch to branch, stopping when he was close, and was about to jump down when he noticed something moving, a sight that caught his sharp eyes immediately. He caught a glimpse of white through the trees, scrambling to the edge of the branch to get a closer look only to feel his jaw drop at the sight of another monkey in the river, sitting with their snow-white legs in the water, leaning back and basking in the sun like a nymph and all the breath was sucked out of his lungs.

They looked content, their eyes closed leaving nothing but the sound of rushing water, birds, and Wukong's own heartbeat pounding in his chest. The person leaned back just a little more and Wukong sucked in a gasp at the sight of his face, the golden light peeking through the trees illuminating his face in a gleaming halo, his eyes immediately drawn to the stunning sight of six colorful ears all fanned out on the side of his head.

They were beautiful.

Wukong had never seen anything like them, starting with an impressive shade of red and then fading to a wonderful sky blue and ending in a bright, soft green that looked more like turquoise brighter than jewls Wukong couldn't keep his eyes off them. They looked like flower petals, delicate and pretty, exquisite colours that not even the most breathtaking sunrise or sunset could compare to.

He looked like a goddess basking in the sun, the light catching on their face in a radiant glow like even the heavens were admiring the beauty of this creature. There was something captivating about them, something alluring that left Wukong mesmerized with the sweet, delicate lines of their sharp ears and striking colours that were all eye-catching and unique.

The stranger leaned forward slightly, and Wukong leaned further off the branch to get a better look, entranced as his eyes greedily stared at the soft, unusual monkey carefully, admiring the sight of their snow-white fur only to catch sight of the other's ears flutter slightly, their eyes suddenly snapping open and looking around. Wukong jerked back in hopes that the leaves would cover him so he wouldn't be spotted, but miscalculated and tumbled right off the branch, falling with a scream and splatting right in the water of the stream.

It went everywhere, disrupting the peace that had settled so easily before and he coughed, standing up soaked to the bone and dripping water, spluttering as he shook the droplets off, and when he looked up again, frantically searching for the person he found them staring back at him, startled and eyes wide.

He looked terrified.

"Were... were you watching me?" They shrieked, drawing back as Wukong shook his head, taking a step forward and holding his hand out like that would stop the other from running.

"No! I mean yes but I just- You're so beautiful!" He cried, metaphorically putting his foot in his mouth and only realizing his blunder when the other's face lit up a bright pink, the blush spreading straight to the tips of all six of his stunning ears as he spluttered.

Let it be said that Wukong wasn't known for his tact, okay?

But it was beautiful, and Wukong wanted to make it happen again.

"You... don't say that." He said and seemed to draw back into himself, hugging his arms to his chest before reaching up and covering his ears like he was hiding them from view. Immediately Wukong was disappointed at not being able to see them anymore, the feeling curling in his chest with dismay.

"I know they're weird." He muttered self-consciously, like he thought Wukong wasn't being truthful or something and he instantly took great offense, gawking at the inconceivable sentence.

"What? They're not weird! They're amazing. I've never seen such pretty ears in all my life." Wukong told him confidently, absolutely sure it was true as the stranger's eyes grew impossibly wide, their hands ever so softly lowering from their ears.

"Really?" He asked delicately, an odd note of hope in his soothing, sweet voice and Wukong quickly nodded, unabashedly staring right at them and smiling brightly.

"Really! They're amazing, and so unique. I've never seen anything like it before." He said, a giddy and gleeful feeling swelling in his chest at the shy smile on the other's face at his declaration, fiddling with his hands nervously.

"Most people think they're weird." He told him, like he was amazed Wukong didn't think so too and Wukong scoffed as he shook his head, tone bitter.

"Most people are idiots then. Besides, most people think I'm weird too so don't listen to them! They're all a bunch of coconut brains." He said and the other giggled softly at his words, looking a lot more comfortable and a lot more at ease. It made Wukong perk up, his chest swelling with delight as the beautiful stranger took one step closer, their smile only growing. It was like watching a flower bloom.

"Yeah well, I don't think you're weird. I think you're nice." He uttered it softly, like he was embarrassed to say it and it was so different from Wukong's loud declarations but important nonetheless, making Wukong smile as wide as his mouth would let him, his tail wagging excitedly behind him. No one had ever called him 'nice' before. He liked it. He wanted more.

"My name's Sun Wukong by the way!" He greeted hoping for a name back so he knew what to call this stranger he was definitely going to be spending more time with and the other smiled, their pretty ears twitching with their joy, fluttering like butterfly wings.

"My name's Liu Er. Liu Er Mihou." He breathed out and Wukong's eyes lit up, thrilled with the pretty name, committing it to memory and searing it into his brain. The six-eared Macaque. It fit him very well.

(I like to imagine that a younger Wukong wouldn't watch a thing he said. He'd say nothing but what he was thinking and have no shame about it. I also like to headcanon Macaque as having white fur when he was younger like in the old cartoon from 2009 cause I think that's cool.

I hope you guys enjoyed, thank you so much for this really wonderful request, Slamalmlky221maicom, I hope this was what you wanted, and I'll see you all next time!)
