"I am sorry Ash, I am truly sorry for everything I and Jenna have put you through, all the betrayal, lies, selfishly deploying plans to get you and Raven closer so that me and Jenna could spend more together, I have just ruined everything.."

Alpha Xavier was kneeling down and begging me to give him another chance, to accept his apology. I genuinely felt bad that he was crying for me to accept him back but a part of me was also happy, a part of me seemed satisfied that Xavier are getting punished for whatever they put us through.

Speaking of Jenna, she leaned on the wall and was crying silently, probably cursing herself for the mess created in our lives. Every few minutes she would look at Xavier, Raven and would cry some more. Raven hugged me sideways and was trying to calm me down.

Elder Connor walked in and spoke up, "Hate to break this gathering, but need Ash to come with me for few minutes and then she can join back." I nodded and followed him out of the room. "How are you doing?" he asked. I took a deep breath and replied, "It was a tough decision, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would be doing this, heck if my mom got wind of it she will probably have a heart attack, but this seems right to me, It is in the best interest of my mental health." He smiled and touched my forehead, "I have faith in you my child, it's your decision, and you have taken it after putting in a lot of thought, It will be difficult especially since your wolf isn't around, but trust me you will be emerge stronger out of this. Now come let's collect potion for to get your wolf back." This earned a smile from me and the heaviness partially lifted off my chest.

We entered a room which mirrored my school chemistry lab but make it Harry Potter core-ish. As I stepped my foot in, the lab instantly made me think that my purpose on the earth is something big, I am here to find and discover new chemicals, I was in awe at the vials placed inside the shelves in alphabetical order. Interestingly herbal odor canopied the entire lab.

We were walking along the shelves, and that made me wonder what and why are all these chemicals used for. Elder Connor stopped in front of a section which was marked as 'Handle with care' and carefully he picked out two vials one with green liquid and the other with red.

Looking at my confused face he handed the green vial to me. "You just need six doses of this, daily instantly after waking up. But do keep in mind internal healing work is your responsibility. You need to communicate with your wolf everyday even if she necessarily won't be responding back. Think of it as journaling. You will be sharing all the good things happening for you starting off, and what necessary small steps you are taking to lead your life in a positive direction."

I nodded , He continued, "Ash you need to gain your wolf's trust back by healing your internal trauma, and working on yourself, for a change prioritize your own self my child" he smiled and patted my back.

I looked curiously at the red vial, realization and dread dawn upon me. "Is this for Raven..?" He said, "Yes my child". "Elder Connor, will he fine after the ceremony? Will it hurt him?...I am really nervous and scared" Elder replied, "There is always a risk factor in such ceremonies, but I assure you we will be doing it with safe practices and under my guidance so don't overwork yourself too much. You need to think about your decision and your health first."

Cameron's Pov:

"I want to go right now, I need to check up on my daughter, do you guys have any idea where they have been to? That is a very dangerous hill, people mostly don't ever come back or go mad. Nobody returns back normal" she was shaking with fear and fury. I tried to my best to calm her down by patting her shoulders, "And you Alice, how could you not tell me that she went to the Forbidden Hills, she is your best friend right? I didn't expect this from you..." I spoke up, "Aunty, it's not Alice's fault. Xav asked us to keep it a secret and there must be some good reason about it. Moreover she didn't go there alone, she went with her mate Alpha Xavier, please calm down. They should be back by tomorrow, Trust me they will be fine."

Hail's Pov:

"Thanks for coming James", "It's my pleasure Hail, and why are you thanking me. I can meet you anywhere anytime you want." I smiled and spoke up, "I know James, It's just that you have been through a lot just for me, especially after the mate situationship, and there just have been more drama and nuisance" He remained mum, so I continued, "Actually I tried my best to gain Gabe's attention and have done everything in my will to get him, but seems like those attempts haven't been enough, whatever I do he just gets pushed away from me furthermore." James got up from his seat and gave me a sideways hug. "Hailey, trust me you can't get to make someone fall for you forcefully. Doesn't matter if he is your mate. Gabe is homosexual and he never has been attracted towards straight females, so for you thinking he will come flocking towards you because of a mere mate bond is pure imagination"

His words although were harsh but were definitely meaningful. I had made up mind to move on from Gabe and to give myself a break from the mental trauma when James' words gave me shooting anxiety and sweat. 'Hail I have something to confess, I have also met my mate, and you know him very well. He is our pack's Gamma and I-Uh-I have rejected him."
