"Gamma? Is Alpha's life in danger?" I gave him a long stare and thought to myself. "Hopefully not".
Day before Yesterday:
"Are you sure? It was him?" He stomped his feet and forced out words, "I am telling you, I felt Xav reaching out to me for a brief second, and there was a feeling of despair as if some bond was broken". I forced my mind to think through, "Hold on! Even I felt that weird sense of dread for fleeting seconds, but lately plethora of things have been accompanying my mind, so it completely slipped off my radar"
He continued, "Listen, we have to go and check on them, I am getting bad vibes..." I squeezed his shoulders, "Listen Jordan, we both can't go. Let me go along with some of our warriors and you need to stay put and focus on the clan"
He nodded, "start as soon as you can Cam and don't inform anybody else about this" I gave him a quick hug and whispered, "Don't worry, I will get them safe and sound"
Present Day:The rogue wolves closed in around us, a malevolent ring tightening as the storm unleashed its fury upon the unsuspecting lives caught in its tumult. The leader loomed above, a menacing figure with a towering presence, his smile a facade that failed to reach the depths of his cold, calculating eyes.
I was really nervous, heck nervous doesn't even come close. I was scared, scared for my life, scared for my friend's lives, scared for Raven. He was slumped against the pole, still tied, breathing harshly, instant guilt, anxiety, and anger on the decisions I took activated.
I saw movement from the corner of my eyes, Xavier was slowly inching towards Raven. Elder Connor was standing in the middle of our formation and was staring down at the intruder. His assistant seemed to have disappeared into thin air. Meanwhile, without my notice Jenna was inching closer to me.
Before I could run my psychoanalysis train, Elder Connor spoke up, "What brings you here Ralph? How may I be of any help to you and-"he took a pause to scan his surroundings before continuing, "Your rogue mates?" Ralph took few steps towards Elder and did something that was out of my expectation thesaurus.
He bowed in front of the Elder and smiled, "You are really good at pretending O Elder! You called us and we have arrived! Now give your commands and we shall deliver" My blood and heartbeat both ran cold. I was shaking and almost heard Jenna take a shaky breath. I raised my finger at Connor with confusion, anxiousness and dread weighing my heart down and tried to utter few syllables but I went into auto glitch mode. Sort of paralyzed to the spot kinda situation.
"You deceit! You betrayed us? But why?" Xavier questioned harshly. Connor broke into a disturbing peal of laughter before halting it abruptly. "Oh! It was almost too easy to fool each one of you, maybe because y'll are young, naïve and too easily impressionable. Yes, I had summoned them to come today and yes they work under my supervision" he spoke out gleefully.
"Why have we been wronged? Why are you treating us like this? We came seeking your help," Jenna asked with tears. "Oh my, the very first mistake was daring to seek help from me after banishing me from your land. The torture I endured, cast out by the council—I swore to take revenge on all wolves who come here." He uttered those words that promised venom and malice.
"So- you were behind the disappearance of all those innocent wolves who ventured into this mountain?" Xavier quizzed him
Cameron's Pov:
"Gamma Cameron! It seems to be a spell which is blocking their scent from any outsiders. The spell seems to have canopied the mountain and cut it off from rest of the world." This news was anything but welcoming and complete opposite of what I had imagined about the hills. The journey upto the forbidden hills was quite an adventure to say the least.
After umpteen road blocks and weather issues we finally managed to reach the ground zero, yet were far from our goal. Few days back Jordan had sensed melancholic emotions wavering off of Xav and requested me to come check on him and our friends.
"Vixen, ensure that everybody should stay on alert and will take no error chances today" he nodded. "There is definitely something fishy up here, why is the aura cut off? - hold on" Vixen quizzed perplexed, "What happened Gamma?" I closed my eyes and took a long sniff. I moved forward without my accord towards the peculiar smell.
"Gamma that's-" I completed, "Dried blood". I shut my eyes once again and tried to connect the smell with the familiar aura. Recognition hit me within seconds, "Vixen, this is Ash's dried blood" shock and murmuring spread across the warriors. "We should follow this path, I am pretty sure we will reach our friends and enemies"
"Gamma? Is Alpha's life in danger?" I gave him a long stare and thought to myself. "Hopefully not, but there was a weird creepy feeling at the bottom of my stomach which I for some reason wasn't able to overcome".

WerewolfThis is a fan version of the original He Still Doesnt Want me by @poetically_correct. I am trying to give my own spin to this incomplete storyline. This starts from the 13th chapter directly from where the book was left off.
