"Where's Nana?"

"Why are you carrying me again?"

"I second that," Rin scowled.

"So, you don't run off saying you're ok," Ran replied. He carried you bridal-style, and there was only one reason Y/n wasn't complaining. This is better than being carried like a sack of potatoes, you thought.

"The Head Maid left for town and will not be back until Monday, Young Master." Ran sighed, thinking for a moment.

"Alright, we can work with that. Go bring a basin of hot water, towels, and first aid. With a lot of bandages," he added.

"I can do it myself," you grumbled as the trio waited. "I doubt you can," Rin replied. "I've done it before," you shot back.

They both stared, and you blinked, thinking back to what you had said. "I...uh," you looked away. "...Nice picture you have there?"

"...That's a TV."

"I...knew that," you mumbled.

...

They shared a look, yeah right.

"It's your mom, isn't it?" You turned to Rin; an eyebrow raised. "The fact that you're so injured," he added.

"I can't answer that." Ran smiled, "And why the fuck not?"

You studied the ceiling, "Can't answer that either."

"Ugh, it's the same with your hand, right?" Rin pressed.

"Y/n," Ran sighed, running a hand through his still-wet hair, his braids undone. "How are we supposed to help if you won't tell us anything?"

You turned to them, your gaze sharpening. "That's the point. You can't help, and I won't let you." Your expression saddened, a hint of anger sparking in those e/c depths, as you added. "Besides, anyone who tried before are already dead." Their eyes widened as you looked away. "I'm not about to risk that with you two," you mumbled.

"We won't get ourselves killed, so let us." You smiled sadly, "That's what the last friend told me."

Should we tell her? They both thought, frowning at the floor, as a maid walked in. She placed the basin and first aid on the floor. "Will you be staying?" she asked as she kneeled.

"Leave." She jumped and stared at Rin in shock. "We'll do it ourselves," Ran added with a smile, elbowing Rin.

"B-but, young master," she stammered, glancing between them and you. "Don't worry about it. Bye-bye~"

She bowed and quickly left the room. You slowly turned with a closed-eyed smile, a tik mark on your head. "What are you doing?"

"Exactly what we told her," Rin replied, dunking a towel into the basin. His hands shot out. "Fuck! That's hot," he growled, shaking his hands.

Ran's fingers trailed over the water. "How did Nana do this?" he asked in awe. "See, men can't handle this. Much less boys," you added, pulling out the towel. You twisted it but winced as your hand protested. The wound from the heel not fully healed.

"Give me that." Rin took it and was about to rub it across the wounds, but you scooted back. "Are you stupid!" you exclaimed. "Are you trying to burn me? You have to wring out the water." He blankly stared at the dripping towel. You showed him how to do it, and you nodded, satisfied.

He gently dabbed at your arms as you relaxed. "I guess I'll let you guys do it. Just this once," you added. They hummed, too immersed in the task to reply.
