Y/n took off your shoes and slipped into the slippers waiting at the door. "Welcome home, m'lady." You turned to Sebastian. "Thanks, Sebastian!"

He blinked down at your smiling face. He huffed, a smile curling on his lips. "You seem to be in a good mood."

You grinned, heading to the dining room. "I am, actually." Your hand wrapped around the handle. "I doubt there's anything that can ruin it." You swung the door open with a grin. Only to stop short.

"Ah! You're finally here!" your mother exclaimed, rising from the chair. The grin on her face was the same you had moments ago. Now it's replaced with a look of shocked disgust.

Here's the thing about your mother. She can be the cold and calculating mafia boss she is. Finding pleasure in tormenting others, including (and her favorite) torturing her beautiful-undeserving-of-this-shitty-mother-talented daughter. Then there are moments like these where she basically becomes a kid. And the mother she used to be before that attack...

Sebastian gave a close-eyed smile, sweat-dropping. "Apologies, but your mother is still drunk."

Y/n whirled on him, staring with wide eyes. "You must be joking." You stumbled forward, a sudden weight on your back.

"Aw~ my baby's home!"

Your eyes flashed in surprise, those words. Your expression fell as your mother continued to rub her head against yours. She used to tell me that every time I came home from school. A memory of two people you knew flashed in your mind.

Even if they were gone, they still lingered in the back of your mind.

No matter how hard you try to forget.

A wisteria tree swayed in the wind. Their backs to you. The girl humming a lullaby as her steps created ripples in the clear ground. You stretched out a small, chubby hand. She looked over her shoulder, face blurred by time, but she had the same striking red hair as your mother. She turned around fully, crimson locks dancing in the wind. She held out her hand, lips curling into a bright smile.

You ran to her, the scenery freezing around you as time seemed to stop. Y/n stretched out a hand, no longer small. Slender fingers reached for the red-haired girl's waiting hand.

You were inches away from her hand, and with one touch, she disappeared. She vanished into golden dust, chased away by time.

The ground suddenly bloomed with bright red spider lilies. Your hand still extended as you stumbled, but your focus was on the male before you.

Your long, h/c locks whipped in the sudden breeze as petals flew into the air. Your hand dropped to your side as you stared at the young man.

His long h/c ponytail, held by an elegant band with a jewel, swayed in the wind as he gazed at you with warm e/c eyes. His lips curled into a soft smile as you stared up at him in surprise, cheeks tinted pink. Tears pricked your eyes as you stepped forward, your mouth curling to form a word.

"Fa━" He burst into red petals before you could finish. Your face fell as you watched the red petals dance in the wind. You extended your palm, and watched as two landed on your hand.

"M'lady."

You awoke with a start, blinking in confusion. Sebastian leaned over you with a smile. "Good morning, Lady Y/n. It seems you had a good rest?"

You sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes. "You could say that. What day is it?" Sebastian opened the blinds, staring out the window.

"October third, my lady," he answered softly. You sighed as you got out of bed. No wonder I had that dream.

"I shall leave you to get dressed." You merely hummed, staring blankly at the ground.

You sat there for a while, unmoving. Another sigh left your lips. "I should get ready."

"Boo!"

...

Ran blinked at your unaffected state, still staring at the desk. "Hey~ Y/n~" He poked your arm until you finally looked at him. Your expression stayed blank as you stared at him. You blinked, dull eyes brightening. "Oh, Ran, Rin, didn't see you there."

Ran chuckled as he sat next to you, Rin taking his seat in front. "Took you long enough. I thought you were ignoring us."

You shook your head as you forced a smile. "Of course not, it just..." you trailed off, expression falling. "Ah, never mind."

The brothers exchanged a look, brows twisted in worry. Rin turned around and leaned over his chair. "Hey, is everything alright?" You blankly nodded. "Yeah, just tired." His eyes narrowed, "It seems more than that."

You blinked, turning to look at him. His gaze stayed unwavering, locked with yours. You sighed, looking away. "Today's just a...special day, I guess," you mumbled.

"Oh? Is it your birthday?" Ran asked, leaning back. You shook your head. "My sister's anniversary," you mumbled. "Anniversary for what?" Rin asked softly, catching your tone. Your eyes narrowed as you lowered your head, biting your bottom lip. No, don't cry.

You looked up, your face expressionless, catching them off guard. You turned to the window as you answered. "Her death anniversary."

Their eyes widened as you stared out the window. "Sorry, maybe I shouldn't have━"

"Don't be. I'm glad you told us," Rin interrupted. "Yeah, and I didn't know you had a sister," Ran added, draping an arm over your shoulder. "I feel offended."

You huffed as he pulled you back. "You should know by now that my family isn't the best," you grumbled. Your face turned thoughtful as you stared at your lap.

"Do...you guys want to meet her," you asked softly, voice barely audible. Ran grinned as he hugged your shoulders. "Of course!"

A small smile graced your lips as you blushed, happy. Rin smiled as he closed his eyes in contentment.

"You guys didn't have to dress up," you mumbled.

"This is coming from someone who brought a dress to school," Rin scoffed, tucking his hands into his pockets.

You blushed in embarrassment. "S-shut up." Ran grinned as he fixed his shirt. "Besides, we gotta look good in front of your sister." You quirked a brow in confusion. "And why's that?"

He smirked, "No reason." You blinked as you turned to him. The hell? You huffed, turning your attention to the flower bouquet. You fingered a petal of one of the lilies. "So, what's this yellow stuff?" Ran asked, flicking one. "It's called goldenrod. It stands for sisterly love." He hummed as Rin glanced at the bouquet.

"What's with the wisteria headpiece?" You smiled softly, "She loved sitting under wisteria trees. She used to read me stories when I was younger...and I used to make crowns for us." He hummed, watching you with lowered brows.

...

Rin blinked up at the towering wisteria tree with a blank look. That's pretty big. He dropped his gaze and caught up to you two. "This isn't half bad," Rin mumbled, a breeze ruffling his hair. "No kidding! The air here is amazing! Most cemeteries are all gloomy," Ran added, shuddering.

"Oh, that's because this cemetery is private. My family owns it." Ran froze mid-step as Rin stared. "What!?" You stopped, glancing over your shoulder, quirking a brow. "Your family owns this!"
