Y/n stared down at the gravestone, reading the name inscribed onto it.
Kazuya L/n
A loving Daughter
A caring Sister
1985-2002
You stared at the words time forgotten in that brief moment. H/c locks swayed in the breeze as you finally kneeled. You placed the bouquet of hydrangea, goldenrod, and other flowers you had put together. You then place the wisteria head crown on the grave.
You raised the incense over your bowed head, the brothers copying you from behind. You lifted your head and placed the incense into the pot.
"Hey, Kazuya, it's been a while," you said softly, a sad smile gracing your lips. "Another year has passed, and I'm sure you know that mother hasn't really changed." You grinned. "But don't worry, this year is different. I've become friends with these two." You gestured behind you with a grin. "I'd like you to meet Ran Haitani and his younger brother Rindou Haitani. We call him Rin, though," you added.
"It's nice to meet you," Rin said, bowing slightly. Ran following his lead.
"These two have changed me, big sis," you said softly, as you turned around. You spoke in a low voice so that the brothers won't hear. "I thought I wouldn't be able to smile or laugh like I used to with you. But with them," you trailed off, smiling as you recall all the moments you've had with them.
The first time you'd spoken. The projects we did together, and the times when we didn't get work done because we were running around doing god knows what. You recalled their smiles, their touch when they comforted you. The secrets shared between the three.
You smiled as a tear trailed down your cheek. You cupped your hands over your mouth as more tears followed.
Both brothers panicked, reaching for you. "I'm so happy to have met them." They froze, staring at your hunched form.
She's happy, Rin thought in disbelief. Ran was thinking the same when a voice rang through his head.
"You will never love, and no one will be happy with you."
Something wet slid down his cheek, catching him off guard. Huh? I'm crying, Ran thought, brushing it away, but they wouldn't stop flowing. He chuckled as he wiped his eyes. Rin turned to him, eyes wide. He's crying.
His eyes flashed in realization. He must be thinking about what that bastard had said.
His eyes relaxed as he turned to you, still hunched over. Guess that guy was wrong. There is someone who's happy to be with us.
Ran moved closer and pulled you into a hug, still crying. Rin let out a breath as he smiled, joining the hug. He glanced at the plaque with a smile. We'll take care of her, don't worry.
After you and Ran calmed down, you decided it was high time you guys had dinner. You turned to the dark sky since the sun had set already. You looked away and stopped at another grave. You squatted as you placed a single lily down. Noticing some dust on the plaque, you brushed it off.
You bite your bottom lip, not letting your eyes trail to the name inscribed into the stone. You quickly got up and made your way to the exit. Ran shared a look with his brother as they quietly followed.
Rin raised a brow in question. Ran signaled with his eyes to you and then quirked his head to the plaque. Rin frowned, and? Ran made a face as he glared, ask her about it.
Rin scowled, and why should I be the one to do it?
Because you're better at being sentimental than I am! Rin stared dumbfounded, a vein bulging. Bitch, since when!?
Ran smirked as he huffed. Since, I say so. Rin jumped onto his back, pulling him into a chokehold. I'm about to end your god-dam━
"So, what do you guys want to eat?" Y/n asked, turning around. You blinked at them, confused. Rin smiled; his hands folded neatly. Ran had a similar expression. "What's up with you two?"
"Nothing much." You gave them a doubtful look over. "Okay," you drawled, turning around. Almost immediately, the brothers glared at each other, silently arguing.
You didn't notice and continued to look for a place to eat. This place will do, you thought as you stopped scrolling. Your thoughts went back to the grave where you dropped off the lilies.
Y/n felt her heart clench, eyes burning. Taking a deep breath, you let it out slowly. Just calm down. You continued to walk, the brothers catching up and walking by your side.
You couldn't help smiling. I have these two now.

"Welcome back, Lady Y/n," Sebastian greeted as you walked in. You smiled at him, too tired to reply. His expression fell, but he still had his smile.
You stared quietly. "Is everything alright, Sebastian?" You watched his eyes widen, mouth curving in surprise. But he quickly covered it with a smile. "There is no reason to worry, m'lady." Your eyes narrowed as you briskly walked up to him. You grabbed his tie and pulled him to your level.
Y/n glared at him, gaze unwavering. "Something is bothering you, and don't you dare deny it." Your expression wavered as you added. "You're like this every year. It always looks like you want to say something, but then you don't do it. And end up with this guilty face."
Sebastian's eyes flashed in surprise before narrowing in thought. I was too careless but. His thoughts trailed off as he stared into your eyes. She has every right to know what happened. But can I really burden her with this?
"You're making that face again." You sighed, releasing him. "I'm a bit tired, so if you won't spill, I'm leaving." You walked past him and started ascending the steps.
"Please wait, Lady Y/n." You paused, looking over your shoulder. Your eyes widened, his expression catching you by surprise. It was a mix of worry guilt, and something else.
You faced him fully and crossed your arms. "You going to tell me now?" He sighed and gestured up the stairs. "Let us go to your room. It is best if we sit while we talk." You nodded and turned around to head to your room.
...
You stared in shock at the snacks and made a face at Sebastian, who was pouring tea. "Sebastian, what are you doing?"
He beamed, flowers around him as he set the pot down. "I thought you'd be hungry, so I've prepared a light snack."
You glared at the table full of cakes, biscuits, and other desserts. You sighed, but it sounded more like a growl. "Sebastian," you said lowly, a warning. He smiled, a bead of sweat on his forehead.
"I shall start then," he replied, standing next to you. You glanced at his grim expression. Y/n listened as he began, listening, attentively as she reached for a cookie. You froze, hand hovering over the plate. Your head bowed, the shadows of your hair covering your eyes. Your mouth parted as your hand trembled.
"W...what did you just say?"
