"So, we're finally able to talk now?"

Y/n sweat-dropped, "Yeah, I guess so."

Kiyoko Mizuki sat before you, eating her food in thought. Her long-straight-black hair reminded you of ink. Her red eyes stood out against her pale skin.

"So, Lila plans to make your life a living hell?" she commented. You pointed your chopsticks at her. "Yup. But, so far, she's given me a workout and that whole best friend fiasco few weeks ago."

"I've known her since childhood, but things changed when she came to this junior high." You blinked in surprise, not really seeing how these two could have been friends. She doesn't seem like someone who shows a lot of emotion. Compared to Lila, you thought making a face at the mention of her attitude.

You watched her take a sip from her cup. Ah~ but she looks so elegant! Y/n thought, with stars in her eyes.

"She used to be so sweet too." Her expression darkened, "Now she's become one hell of a bitch."

Even when she curses it's elegant, you thought, admiring the girl before you.

"It seems like you've known her for a while," you commented. "I have. But I don't understand why she is out to get you," she admitted. "She has been turned down by many others before." Her gaze sharpened, "She either really does wish to be your friend or wants something from you."

Your eyes flashed in surprise. "What would Lila want..." you trailed off. "Actually, I might have an idea," you mumble, nibbling on your lunch.

"Care to fill me in?" You looked away, "I'm sorry, but this is technically our second time meeting." She nodded, understanding just as the bell rang.

"No worries, I plan on familiarizing myself with you." She stood and gave your a small smile. "You are not what the rumors say you are." She scoffed, "A mafia's daughter, how ridiculous." Your eyes widened as your paused.

...

You slowly turned to the door long after Kiyoko had left. You fisted your hand, willing the shaking to stop. "...W-what did she say?" Your eyes dilated as you stared down at your empty bento.

Thoughts clouded your mind as you gnawed on your thumbnail. No, it's just a ru

"Boo~"

You jumped out of your seat, so fast that you stumbled into the other brother. Ran stared wide-eyed as you tried to control your breathing. "I thought I told you not to do that anymore," you grumbled with a sigh.

"Oh~ but I think I got you this time," Ran snickered. You rolled your eyes as you righted yourself, thanking Rin with a nod. I need to figure out who spread this. Y/n thought, tapping her chin. Your eyes wandered to your partner.

"Hey Ran, have you heard any strange rumors about me?" He blinked, "That's pretty straightforward," he commented, leaning back in his chair as he thought for a moment.

"Other than that, fight with your best friend." He made air quotes when mentioning Lila. "I haven't heard anything."

"What about you, Rin?" His eyes narrowed as he turned in his seat. "I heard some crap about you being the daughter of some mafia member," he answered.

You remained composed, so he's heard it too. "I heard about that one too. Not sure where it came from, though," you added.

"You know those two girls that follow Lila around?" You nodded as Rin leaned forward to look at you. "They were the ones spreading it."

Your eyes flashed in surprise as I thought.

"Is it true?"

"What is?"
