"Is she ok?"

"Not sure. Her face is really red. Maybe she has a fever?"

"Should we take her to the nurse?"

Y/n had her head buried in her arms, wishing she could hide under a rock. Far, far away from a certain pair of brothers.

I must have gone mad last night, you thought. Fear has made me into a delusional lunatic! You rested your head in your hand, staring out the window. Let the end of school never come...

But you knew better than to wish for such things. Seeing as they never came true.

"Y/n~"

You dead-panned, speaking of a wish. "Do you need something, Lila?" She pouted softly, "I heard you were sick. Why didn't you tell me, your best friend?" You made a 'wtf' face as she innocently batted her eyes.

"My what? Since when were we, friends? Much less best friends." You rubbed your temple, annoyed. She took a step back, tears pricking her eyes.

"W-what are you saying? We've known each other for a while now," she cried, and you made that face again. A tik mark appeared as you got out of your seat.

"What the actual fuck are you talking about?" you seethed, your face becoming an emotionless mask.

"Ah! Please don't hurt me!" You blinked in confusion as she fell back. Even bothering to scoot away and cower against a desk. You quirked your head, staring blankly down at her.

"What are you playing at, Lila?"

"HEY! GET AWAY FROM HER!" A classmate pushed you back as two others knelt next to Lila.

"Hey..." You glared darkly at the boy, who flinched. "Why the hell did you push me?"

"She's your best friend! You shouldn't treat her like that!" he exclaimed.

Y/n scoffed as she gave him a blank look over. "Who are you to say that? We've never been friends and never will be."

"Do you have no shame!"

"Ha, how shameless."

Your e/c eyes flashed, the same words echoing in your head, by your mother.

Your glare sharpened as you stepped forward. "You dare say that when you don't even know what happened," you said in a low voice. Your voice sounded much calmer than you felt. He staggered backward, stuttering but unable to make a comeback.

"Who are you to even say that!" you seethed; voice still awfully calm. Your eyes glared as you punched him in the face. Y/n grabbed his collar, keeping him from falling. "I suggest you stay out of this."

He whimpered as you dropped him. Your gaze traveled to Lila, who flinched, her face turning blue with terror. You turned away without a word, leaving the room.

"Know? You're the one who doesn't know." The guy grinned, his eyes wide. "Who you're dealing with!"

"What's taking her so long?" Rin grumbled, leaning back against the car.

"I'm not sure," Ran mumbled, eyes narrowing.

"Dammit, she━"

"Shh, wait," Ran interrupted, a hand over Rin's mouth. A vein bulged as Rin glared at his brother.

"Hey, have you heard?" Both pairs of lilac eyes followed the two girls. "Yeah, that transfer punched a guy in the face."

"What, really!?" the other whispered. "Right! That's not all. Apparently, she was about to attack Lila too. Her best friend!"

Rin removed his brother's hand, "Since when were those two friends?" His face going serious.

"Since never," Ran said, already moving. Rin hurried to catch up to his brother's longer strides.

He banged the door open to their classroom, startling the teacher. He fixed his glasses, turning to the door, "Do you━" He cut himself off. Ran swaggered in, hands in his pocket while Rin checked the hall before closing the door.

"W-what do you two want?" he stammered as Ran, ever so, slowly stopped in front of his desk. He smiled down at their teacher as he placed a hand on the desk. He leaned forward, his taller status making it so that he towered over the teacher.

"Why so worked up, sir?" Ran placed a hand on his shoulder, his smile still present. The teacher trembling, glanced at it, then back at his student. "We just wanna know where Y/n is."

"S-she's not here," the teacher stammered, sweat gathering at his temple.

"Well, no shit." Rin scoffed from his place near the door. "Where is she, old man?"

"She left early t-today. I haven't seen her since." The brothers exchanged a look, Rin nodding.

Ran smirked, turning back to the teacher. "That's a shame. It would have been really~ helpful if you knew, but~ since you don't," he trailed off, the threat hanging in the silence.

"Y-yes, this won't leave the room," the teacher stuttered out.

"Good~" Ran patted his shoulder with a closed-eyed smile. He turned to leave, "We're off then." He stopped; a finger raised as if he realized something. "Right, almost forgot." Another smile, "Give us her address."

Heels clicked against the stone floor, blood marking the tip. "Oh~ is she done already?" A woman tilted her head. Gold earrings reflected in the dim light as she stared down in pity. She pressed her hand against her cheek. Blood on the whip in her hand stained her face. "What a pity~"

"Sebastian, clean her up," she ordered, turning in a flourish, dropping the whip in a waiting maid's hands. "I want her ready for school tomorrow," she continued, pulling her soiled gloves off. "I don't want my daughter to miss school because of something as little as this. Right~" She turned, smirking at her butler. "She should know better than to do things without permission."

He placed a hand on his chest as he knelt before her.

"Of course, my lady." She stared down at him, a blank look crossing her face. "Make sure she's presentable."

"I will do my best." Sebastian waited until her steps had faded to silence. He turned to the back of the room. "Lady Y/n," he whispered, sorrow filling his crimson eyes.

An assortment of weapons decorated the walls. Blood was splattered on the walls and pooling on the stone floor. Say for a lone window there was no light whatsoever. Sebastian knelt before your bloodied form, "My lady, are you awake?"

Chains clinked against the walls as you nodded. "That's good to hear..." he trailed off making a face. "Pardon, it's good to see that."

...

"You seriously said that didn't you?" you rasped. After cleaning you up, Sebastian carried you to a room to apply bandages.

"Here you go, some water." He handed you a glass of water, tears streaming down his face. "My lady, I apologize tenfold, again," he added. Y/n hummed, taking a sip as he wrapped a bandage around your arm.

"Well, my lady, I hope you get some rest for tomorrow." He rose and started putting the roll of bandages away.

"I look like a mummy," you grumbled, frowning at your reflection as you moved to place the cup on the stand.

It slipped through your weak grip, Sebastian kneeling to catch it. You doubled over coughing. "My Lady!" He grabbed your shoulders, keeping you from falling from the table.

"I'm fine," you said, wincing. "Just choked on water." Sebastian gave you a 'are your serious' look as he sighed. "On that note, I doubt I'll even be able to pick up a pencil tomorrow."

"I believe in you."
