"I wanna leave already." Y/n slumped against her desk, letting out yet another sigh.

It's been a whole month since you first joined this school. Going to the Haitani's house was always enjoyable. Somehow. Even though they were a handful, especially the first time. Those two slackers did nothing but eat, you thought, frowning. Since then, your teacher has assigned so many projects that you've lost count.

"Y/n~"

You turned to the door, and another sigh escaped. Another hassle. "Do you need something, Lila?" She bounded over with a catlike smile and placed a stack of books on your desk. "What's this?"

"The teacher asked me to take these to the library. But~" She leaned against the window dramatically. "They're so heavy, and I'm too weak to carry it on my own." She leaned closer to you, batting her eyes. You gave her a blank look. Then how did you bring them here? Y/n sighed as she rose out of her seat.

"At least you realize that you are undoubtedly weak. Alright, lead the way." She fumed at the insult.

"Yeah, you're the best!" she exclaimed, giving you a bone-crushing hug. "Ugh." Your vision went black as pain rocketed through your body. You hastily pushed her away. "Is something wrong?"

Gritting your teeth, you grabbed the books, ignoring the pain from your side. "Just go." She stared at your face, causing you to get annoyed. "Now," you growled. "H-hai!"

...

"Are you sure you know where you're going?" You two had been wandering the halls for at least 10 minutes. "It should be around here...somewhere," she drawled, looking around and hopping from door to door.

You perked up as a student walked by. "Hey, do you happen to know where the library is?" He paused and chuckled softly.

"If you're looking for the library, it's in the main building second floor. Right next to the nurse's office," he replied.

You were currently in a building across the field from the main building. You deadpan, "You don't say," you gritted out, glaring at Lila. She merely smirked, dropping the act. Turning around, she left as you thanked the senior.

Is this what she means by 'worse than hell?" You scoffed she could do better than giving me a workout.

"Boo~"

You jumped, the books falling out of your hand. Only one was left, and you had half a thought to chuck it at Ran's smiling face. Stupid blonde.

"I told you to stop that," Y/n grumbled, bending to pick up the books. "Ah, but it's fun. Even more so with you kneeling before me." You stopped short and slowly glared up at him. The same words echo in your head,

"Pathetic. But expected, you are, meant to kneel before me, child."

His grin widened, and his eyes seemed to glow as they flared with mischief. "Pft." His smirk faltered. "What's so funny?" He bent over you, a hand on his hip. "You're off balance~" His eyes widened as you kneed him in the stomach. "Gah━" He collapsed on his knees as you looked down at him, a blank look crossing your face.

Y/n lifted his chin with a book and tilted it upward. Y/n tipped her head, her h/c locks falling to the side. A shadow cast over your eyes, as they glowed e/c with repressed anger. "I'm already pissed enough. Best to dile it down, Haitani," you stated quietly.

His eyes flashed with, what seemed like fear, and you couldn't help the grin that spread across your lips. You leaned down slightly. "What's the matter~ getting scared?"

"Y/n, knock it off." You blinked, coming to your senses. You looked up at Rindou and then back at Ran. You hastily let him go as you took a step back. "Sorry about that," you mumbled, rubbing your neck as you looked away. "Not sure what came over me."
