Harper Riddle

I apparated back to school so early no one even noticed I had been gone the entire night. I grabbed the first aid kit Draco gifted me and patched myself up. The scars I'm gonna have from that curse are going to be extremely noticeable. I cast a couple healing spells at least so they would stop bleeding.

As I walked towards my bed to lay down I tried to think of any ideas of way I could end things with Draco. That's when I came up with a damnnn good plan. Well, anything I DO in this situation could end up in being cancelled, getting in a physical fight, depression, and or having no friends. If I DONT do anything the result could be banishment and or death.

Looks like we're gonna have to hope this works out. Technically me and Draco aren't datinggg. We both obviously know we have something going on, but it just hasn't be declared so I'm not really doing anything wrong? Who I am kidding this is horrible. Not like I have any other choice so!

I took maybe a 30 minute nap before my alarm went off. Alright let's do this. I got dressed and headed straight for the great hall knowing who I was looking for.

"Julia! There you are," I said happily as I ran into the raven haired girl on purpose.

"Hi Harper, I've missed you. How's it going?" Julia replied.

"I've been better. That's actually why I'm glad I ran into you. I kinda need to ask for a favor," I began to explain. No going back now.

"Well, I've got no problem with favors as long as you owe me one. What can I do for you?" Julia questioned me.  I sat down with her at the Ravenclaw table.

"I need you to help me make everyone think we're dating," I begun.

"I'm sorry, what did you just say?" Julia asked as if she didn't hear me right.

"I need you... to help me... make everyone... think... we... are dating," I said again, but very exaggerated this time.

"Ok... can I ask why?" Julia questioned.

"You can ask, but I can't tell you. I really need this," I answered.

"Aren't you and Malfoy dating though?" She asked me.

"Not technically, but the whole point is that he finds out. It can't be like super obvious though. We are girls, so we know how to be smart with it," I replied.

"Yeah um yeah I got you alright let's do it," Julia said.

I leaned in and gave Julia an extremely long hug, starting off slow. She pulled back and suggested at me to turn around. There Draco Malfoy was walking in noticing us, but only in his head.

I turned back to Julia, "Operation Jarper has begun."

"What the hell is Jarper?" Julia asked me laughing.

"Our ship name? We can't fake date without a ship name, that's just a set up for failure," I answered.

"Of course of course, well I'll see you later," Julia said getting up.

"One more thing, make it a point to call me Harp," I said looking at Julia.

"I'll see you around Harp," Julia said.

"Bye Jules," I returned the goodbye. I then turned around and saw Draco right behind me.

"What was that about?" Draco questioned me.

"What do you mean? I was just talking to Julia," I answered innocently.

"She called you Harp though. That's my nickname for you," Draco stated. I hate this already.
