first task

Harper Potter

Someone came up to me and handed me a badge that said 'Potter Stinks.' It was quite funny to me. I made my way over to Cedric wanting to get to know the pretty boy better.

"Hey Cedric!" I said walking up to him and his friends.

"Hey, about the badges it's a joke.." Cedric said with worry on his face.

"Don't worry I found it funny, but no that's not why I'm here." I said to him as we walked along the courtyard.

"Oh? Alright then what's on your mind?" Cedric said looking at me.

"Nothing really I don't know I just found myself wanting to talk to you. You seem like a really genuine person." I said smiling at Cedric.

"That's actually really nice thanks Harper." Cedric said with a grin and a smile on his face.

"Yeah you're welcome." I said right back to him.

"Is it just me or does Draco always look at people like that?" Cedric said to me.

"What?" I looked over to where Draco was on the tree with his friends and if looks could kill Cedric would be six feet under.

"God I'm sorry about him, let me go handle this, but I'll see you around yeah?" I said walking away from Cedric.

"See you Harper," Cedric replied with a wink.

I quite literally marched over to Draco.

"Malfoy." I said to him.

"Oh no, am I in trouble baby?" Ok that was hot but anways...

"Malfoy I'm serious," I said to Draco with a pretty serious face.

"What did I do now that I'm back on last name basis?" Draco said to me with puppy eyes.

"You're giving death threats with your eyes to any person I talk to." I said back to him.

"No just ones that wanna be more than friends," He said with complete jealousy not even hiding it.

"It's Cedric Diggory the guy's a saint and also a couple years older. Not like it's your business, but that's something that'll never happen," I said to Draco.

"Whatever Potter. Can't wait to see your brother be annihilated in this tournament," Draco said to me laughing with his friends.

I look to my left and the other Potter is coming up next to me.

Draco calls out to my brother, "Why so tense Potter? My father and I have a bet you see. I don't think you're gonna last ten minutes in this tournament. He disagrees. He thinks you won't last FIVE."

"I don't give a damn what you or your father thinks Malfoy. He's vile and cruel, and you're just pathetic," My brother replied.

Damn Harry's got a good comeback, I thought to myself.

"Pathetic?" Draco began to say while taking out his wand.

Professor Moody came out of nowhere and interrupted Draco, "Oh, no, you don't sonny!"

He legitimately turned Draco into a FERRET. Oh how i'm replaying that moment in my mind.

But back to Moody, he's just yelling at Draco. Professor Mcgonagall came in asking Moody what he was doing. This guy is actually off the rails.

"Is that a student?" Mcgonagall asked with deep concern in her voice. I couldn't stop laughing.

Moody replied, "Technically it's a ferret."

Draco the ferret went through his goons pants. I could not contain my laughter. Regular Draco came back and of course said, "My father will hear about this."

Moody was lectured by Mcgonagall and then whispered something to Harry and my brother just followed Moody back to his office.

What the hell just happened.

A couple days later it was time for first task. I walked in with Blaise and Mattheo to the arena. We made our way up to the stands and in came Theo, Draco, Crabbe and Goyle.

I ignored Draco and just stayed standing closely to Mattheo. It was cold and I was shaking so Mattheo gave me his jacket like a brother would. Out came Cedric Diggory and he defeated his dragon with ease. Same with Krum and Fleur had a bit of trouble but retrieved her egg nonetheless.

Last, was Harry. I hadn't seen him since that altercation with Draco and Moody in the courtyard. Anyways Harry started out and he looked really nervous. It's like he forgot that he had a wand.

I heard Hermione call out, "Your wand Harry! Use your wand!"

Which I thank her for because things weren't looking well for my brother. I held Blaise's hand in anticipation for Harry.

He called out for his broom and then flew up. The dragon literally broke its chain which I personally shit myself when it happened. Harry then flew away out of the arena.

We waited a couple minutes in silence till we spotted him coming back. Everyone began to cheer for him as he grabbed his golden egg.

I let go of Mattheo's hand in relief and hugged Blaise. I cheered for Harry until we were called back to the castle. There was a celebration in the Gryffindor common room and Hufflepuff, but as I was from neither so I just headed back to my dorm for the night and decided to talk to Harry the next day.
