I couldn't stand to see her like that all broken, bloody, and bruised. I just wanted to hold her and pass my finger through her hair and tell her everything was gonna be fine, but I wasn't the one doing that for her. Cedric was.

All the students were escorted off the Black Lake immediately because they didn't want people seeing Harper, but I needed to see her. I needed to make sure she was ok.

After I got back to my dorm, I waited a couple hours till everyone was asleep and I snuck out. I made my way towards the infirmary. Of fucking course I ran into Cedric fucking Diggory.

"Hey man, what are you doing on this side of the castle?"

I just kept walking past Diggory ignoring his words.

"Fucking weirdo," I heard him mumble under his breath.

Harper Potter

I woke up in the infirmary to the sound of beeping noises that were actually really fucking annoying. I wasn't in much pain guessing to that fact as I was on some extremely high pain meds.

I heard someone coming towards where I was so I closed my eyes and pretended I was sleeping. I could feel someone standing in front of me, but all I could do was listen for who it could be. It really could only be my brother, but why would he come so late?

Draco Malfoy

I got to the infirmary as fast as I could and thank God no one was with her, because I don't think I could have waited any longer to see her. There she was, sleeping so peacefully as if nothing has happened. She had bandages on her entire body and I actually felt kinda bad for her.

I looked at her. I could tell she wasn't really sleeping, but she doesn't know that. I sat down next to her and grabbed her hand. I would've done the same if she was awake or not. 

"What are you doing here Malfoy," she softly said as she fluttered her eyes open.

"Hi there," I responded.

"What're you doing here? It's so late," she said removing her hand from my own. I flexed my hand a bit feeling kind weird.

"Well you wouldn't want your brother and I having a little run in and I would have to explain why I'm here and how I somewhat care about you which is dramatic and so much work," I explained.

"That's not what I mean and you know it," she stated.

"Harper, come on don't be like that," I said immediately regretting my choice of words.

"'Don't be like that?" She croaked out and took a deep breath. I could see she barely had the energy for this conversation and I felt really bad to be as selfish as I am.

She continued, "How could I not 'be like that' I have every right to act as I am. You fucked up. You can't just walk in here like everything is fine because it's not. Just because you woke up and decided to play nice doesn't mean anything," She replied.

"I didn't mean what I said. You're not a whore Harper," I added.

"Oh thanks! Like I needed the confirmation from you. You're not saying what you need to say and you know it," Damn Harper was speaking nothing, but the truth.

"I shouldn't have said what I said and disrespected you like that," I replied.

Harper bluntly said, "Your words mean nothing to me."

I added, "What am I supposed to do with that Harper? What do you want from me?"

"Maybe an apology? Did you ever think to say 'I'm sorry Harper for how I acted and what I said,'' She once again said the truth. Harper did deserve an apology.

"I'm sorry Harper for how I ac-" I begun to say but was interrupted.

"This is a joke. I'm being pranked. Are you that dense? When you do it like that it means nothing!" She expressed strongly.

"Ok, see how confusing this is?" I explained to her.

"You haven't even apologized once? Until I pointed it out and you tried to repeat my own apology. I know you are not that stupid." Harper stated.

"Please Harper, I'll do anything," I tried to express to the hurt girl in front of me.

"See that is an interesting offer. Anything?" She asked seeming very intrigued in my offer.

I replied smiling, "Anything."

"You'll do whatever I want, your gonna change this rude personality, and lastly your gonna tell me if something is wrong. Don't expect me to guess because I can't read your mind," Harper stated.

I quickly said, "Deal."

"Alright deal," She said the same as me.

After a few moments of peaceful silence.

"Thank you," I mumbled.

"What was that?" Harper questioned.

"Nothing just thank you," I finally stated clearly.

"Aren't I supposed to be thanking you for being here?", the red haired girl said.

"I know you can thank me later, but thanks for not being annoying or weird about me being here," I chuckled as I said it.

"Why would it be weird? I guess we are friends aren't we," Harper said laughing.

"I take it back nevermind," I added also laughing.

She gasped, "Oh my how could you!"

I slipped my hand back into hers. I held it through the night. I held it as she cried. I held it as she fell asleep. I held it when she woke up to ask for more pain meds. I just can't imagine being alone in this room at night.

So I didn't imagine. I slept right next to her. I don't know why as I just met this girl not even a few weeks ago. I just felt like I needed to. I felt that she needed me. It sounds stupid which i'm sure it is. I snuck out just in time before Madam Pomfrey came in asking a billion questions.
