Chapter 4 Part 5: Back To School.

Cassidy:

My alarm wakes me up. I groan and tap my phone until the noise stops. I pick up my phone and check the time- 6:30am. I rub my eyes and get out of bed. I open my wardrobe and pull out my uniform. I put my polo top on then tuck it into my black skater skirt. I do my makeup then put my hair into two french plates. I grab my phone, school bag and head downstairs. No one else it up. I make myself some toast and pour myself a glass of apple juice.

"Hey." My dad says in his work uniform.

"Hi."

"Looking forward to school?"

I pull a face.

"Thought so. But your year 11 now!"

"Yep. My last year!"

"I will see you later I've got to go." He says kissing my forehead and leaving.

My sister gets another day off school and Dan, because he's 18 now- he doesn't have to go.

After I've scrolled through Twitter and posted a selfie on Instagram I grab my bag and head out the door. I walk to school as it's not far.

Within 25 minutes I get to the school gates. Sadie comes running up to me and throws her arms around me neck.

"Hello!" I say staggering back from the force of her hug.

"We FOUND Brodie!! We found her!"

"Omg! That's great news! I'm so happy!"

That's when the bell rings. We both head up to the science block. My timetable for today is Science; Maths; Dance; English. It's a bad day apart from dance. As we walk up people that have never spoke to me before say 'hi'.

"Strange." I say.

"That's because your dating Perri." Sadie says linking arms with me.

"Should of known."

We get to science 5 minutes late. It doesn't help that the teacher doesn't like me.

"How come you two are late?" He shouts across the classroom.

"Sorry Sir." Me and Sadie say together.

"I will do the register, then we will head over to the sports hall because we have an assembly."

Everyone groans because normally assemblies mean a lecture.

15 minutes later everyone in the school are sat in the hall taking among each other.

"Excuse me." The headteacher says down the microphone. "Now I will save my lecture till tomorrow."

Various people cheer.

"That is because we have some very well known people here to talk to you about the awareness of bullying- they might even perform!"

The door opens and people begin to scream. I can't see because I'm sat at the back. I kneel on my seat to see who they are.

I see Ashley then Jordan then Perri, the rest of them fill in afterwards.

"Hey guys, if you don't know, we are Diversity. And we are here to speak to you about bullying- then we will perform."

They chat to us about bullying and answer some questions.

"Does anyone know where Cassidy Baxter is?" Jordan says down the mic.

Everyone starts looking around.

"Here she is!" Sadie says standing up.

"Cassidy! Would you please come and perform with us." Jord says.

I stand up and make my way to the front. I hear people whispering.

Perri winks at me.

"I'm wearing a skirt!" I laugh.

"Don't worry!" Ash says.

The music starts and we perform the dance for the school.

Once we've finished everyone cheers. Perri comes over and hugs me.

"Well done!" We all say to each other.

Ashley goes over to the mic.

"Thankyou for having us! We hope that you've learnt something."

And with that they all leave.

"Right everyone back to your lessons!" Our headteachers calls.

Everyone files out of the sports hall. Mostly everyone tries to speak to me. I answer them on the way back. I get questions like:

'Is Perri your boyfriend?'

'Do you dance with them everyday?'

'How do you know them?'

And 'Your so lucky!'

...

The rest of the day passes by quite quickly. I say bye to Sadie and hop onto the bus. When I get to the studio everyone's sat outside in the sun.

"Nice surprise today!" I say walking over to them.

"Glad you liked it!" Sam says.

"I'm just going to get changed." I say making my way into the studio. "Hey Dani!"

"Hey sweetie!"

I get changed and head into the dance studio. Perri's in there mixing a track.

"How come your not out there?" I ask making him jump.

"I've been tasked to mix the latest track." He says sighing.

I sit next to him and kiss him on the cheek. He turns to face me and kisses me softly on the lips. The rest of the boys come to join us.

I finish at Dancework at 9pm. When I get home Dan's friends are still here, sat in the living room with my parents.

"How did your first day back go?" My mum asks.

"It was alright. Diversity did a surprise performance. I joined in aswell!"

"Wow, what a first day back!"

"Yeah, I know!" I say putting my bag down. "I'm going to take a shower."

I head upstairs and turn on the shower, I let the water run over my body. Once I've finished I get out, change into my pjs and go into my room. I plug my hairdryer into the wall and dry my hair for 10 minutes. After that I get into bed and go on twitter. So many people have tweeted me about Diversity showing up at school. I stay on my phone for about another half an hour, then go to sleep.
