Chapter 5 Part 5: No.

Cassidy:

I wake up feeling sick again, but not wanting to throw up, it was just sitting at the pit of my stomach. I check the time on my phone- 8:30am. I sit up and rub my eyes.

"You okay?" Sadie says sympathetically.

"Yeah." I say sighing. "You alright."

"Yeah I'm good, just nervous for you..."

"I just have a bug that's going around school."

Later this morning we are going to get a pregnancy test...

"C'mon. Lets get ready." I say getting out of bed going over to my wardrobe. I pick out today's outfit, tie my hair into a messy bun, then head over to my dressing table. I do my normal makeup routine. Once I've finished I grab my phone and head downstairs to make me and Sadie breakfast. I phone my Nan and put her on speaker as I'm cooking pancakes. Sadie joins me in the kitchen when she's ready.

"Here you go." I say passing her a plate with 2 pancakes on. "Bye Alex bye Nan!" I say cutting off the call.

I join Sadie in the living room watching Ex on the Beach. By the time we've finished our pancakes its 10am.

"Shall we go?" Sadie asks sheepishly.

"Yeah lets get it out the way." I say grabbing my bag, phone and keys.

We head out the door in the direction of town. It takes us 25 minutes as we get stopped 3 times for photos. We find the chemist, I take a deep breath as we head inside. I follow Sadie over to the pregnancy section, looking around to make sure no-one was here that I knew. I grab the ClearBlue one that tell you how many weeks you are.

"Lets go pay." I say hurrying over to the counter.

"Did you find everything that you were looking for?" The young girl behind the counter asks.

"Yes thankyou." I say as confidently as possible.

As we leave I stuff the tests into my handbag hiding it.

"You can do this." Sadie says linking arms with me.

"We used protection." I say.

It's 11:30am when we get home. Me and Sadie have the house to ourselves. I walk up the stairs slowly followed by Sadie.

"Do you know what you've got to do?" She asks.

"Yeah." I say looking at the instructions on the box.

"Whatever the outcome is. I'm here for you. Don't worry."

"Thanks." I say hugging her.

I head into the bathroom and Sadie waits in my bedroom. I follow the instructions on the box. Once I've done my business, I place the test on the side and bite my nails. I wait 5 minutes then turn the test over. I freeze.

"No..." I say sinking to the floor. "No..."

I get up and run into my room.

"What did it say?" Sadie says hugging me.

"Positive... 4 weeks..." I cry into her shoulder. "How can this of happened?"

"It could of ripped. But that's whats happened now." She says grabbing my shoulders. "You can do this. Okay! You are capable of being a mother."

I start hyperventilating.

"I cant. I can't do this." I start pacing my room. "I'm not ready. What will Perri say? My mum? My dad? What will happen with my carrier? What will Diversity think? They people at school?" So many questions run through my head.
