Kandi
"Tiny, where do you want this?" I asked as I walked into her house with her birthday cake.
"Mm—on the counter for now." She said before going back upstairs to finish getting ready I assumed. "Alright.." I sat the cake on the counter and then followed her upstairs until I made it into her room.
I walked in to find her seated getting her hair and makeup done. I greeted everyone in the room before telling Tiny I was going to shower and start getting ready.
"Okay—wait I forgot to tell you.." She said causing me to turn around and give her a skeptical look.
"What you forget to tell me?" I asked.
"Umm—your favorite person is coming tonight..."
"Girl I know you're coming to your own birthday party... what the hell you talking about?" I laughed.
"You know who I'm talking about." She smirked and I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, I'm going back home. Have a great birthday, girl.." I said as I walked two stars the door hearing her laugh loudly.
"Don't be like that. I know you not still mad at Tamika.."
"Yes as a matter of a fact I am her and her dumb ass sister!"
"I mean Tocha I can see, she was dead wrong for all of that but Tamika was just being a good sister."
"Whatever." Is what I said but what I wanted to say was 'you don't even know the whole situation'.
I wish that was the only thing Tamika that made me vow to never speak to her again but it's not even close.
Flashback
"You don't even understand what you're asking me to do. My sister is my sister I can't just Turn my back on her.."
"So me being your girlfriend and being in the right of this whole situation means nothing.." I sighed.
"I'm not saying that. I wanted to stay neutral but she keeps bringing me in it and I don't even think there is a right and wrong in this situation anymore. This started because of music and now y'all calling each other hoe's and trying to expose each other. It's too much.."
"Is it y'all or just your sister because I haven't said anything like that at all! I'm not the one who went on multiple radio shows and sat there while my sister called my girlfriend every name but a child of God..."
"Okay what did you want me to do?"
"I wanted you to say something instead of laughing. It hurt my feelings to know that you would think that's okay!" I yelled.
"Kandi that's my sister.."
"Wow—so I guess I know where you stand!" I yelled as I grabbed my purse and headed for the front door.
"Kandi, wait!"

That was three years ago and the last time we spoke. We were only dating for about a month and never got around to telling anyone we were together.
By the time we were ready to go public, I was fed up with the drama her sister caused throughout the group it broke us apart. I watched her choose her side in the end and I couldn't even really blame her.
Right was right and wrong was wrong but that's her family. Even if that family was fake to their own sister, who was willing to their girlfriend up for them, but hey that was her decision not mine.
