Ariel let out a sigh and said, "I feel like there's something going on that I should know about. Something involving Greg."
"What about Greg ?" Chioma asked, her brow furrowed in confusion. "What's going on?"
"The way you and Greg have been acting lately," Ariel said, choosing her words carefully. "It's just... it's a little suspicious."
"I'm not sure what you're talking about," Chole said, still sounding confused. "We've been acting the same as always."
I... mean " Ariel said
"So what you're saying is, you think Greg and I are dating?"
"I didn't say that," Ariel said, holding up her hands in a placating gesture. "I'm just saying that your behavior has been... different lately. And I'm wondering if there's something going on that I should know about."
"There's nothing going on," Chole said, a note of impatience in her voice. "We're just friends. That's it."
Chole let out a huff of exasperation and checked her watch. "I'm late for my lecture," she said. "See you later."
"But we're not finished talking," Ariel protested
"Whatever," Chole said, rolling her eyes as she gathered her things and headed for the door. "I have to go, but we'll talk about this later."
With that, she was gone, and Ariel was left alone in the room. She let out a frustrated sigh.

Ariel stood in the library aisle, scanning the shelves for the book she needed. She had a determined look on her face, and her brow was furrowed in concentration.
Suddenly, she realized that the book was not where it was supposed to be. Her face fell, and she let out a frustrated sigh. She ran a hand through her hair, and began to scan the nearby shelves, hoping to find the book somewhere else.
As Ariel continued her search, she heard a voice behind her say, "Hey, Ariel ! What are you busy looking for?" She spun around,
and there was Alex , holding the book she'd been searching for. "Oh my gosh, Alex ! Where did you find that?"
she exclaimed, a look of relief on her face. Alex smirked, and said, "Right here. You didn't even see it, did you?"
Ariel's cheeks turned a bit pink, and she rolled her eyes. "No, I didn't.
As Ariel reached out to take the book,Alex pulled it back slightly, saying, "Wait, before I hand it over, where are we heading? and when will you forgive me "?
Ariel groaned inwardly, and thought, "I just want this book, and he's making it so difficult!"
She forced a smile and said, "Alex, I just need to get this book. I've got a lot of reading to do, so I'm going to head back to my dorm.and I am not fighting with you"
Alex looked a bit crestfallen, but handed over the book.
Just as Ariel was about to leave, Alex reached out and grabbed her arm.
"Ariel, wait," he said. "Are you avoiding me?" His tone was hurt, and his eyes looked a bit sad.
Ariel looked at him, her jaw clenched. "I'm not avoiding you," she said, her voice cold. "I'm just busy, and I have a lot of work to do.amd If am avoiding you will not even talk to you or greet you,Now, if you'll excuse me..."
Alex let go of her arm, and stepped back, looking deflated.
As Ariel turned and walked away, she could feel Alex ' eyes on her. She knew he was hurt by her cold response, but she didn't want to talk to him. She just wanted to get back to her dorm and study.

★On a sunny afternoon as Chole was walking to her dorm after her last class of the day. As she turned a corner, she caught a glimpse of a familiar figure in the distance.
It was Greg , walking towards her. Her heart skipped a beat.
"What do I say to him?" she thought. Should she ignore him, or try to be polite? Before she could make up her mind, Greg had seen her too, and he was walking towards her with a smile on his face.
"Hi, chole !" Greg said, his smile brightening his face.
"What's up?" chole looked at him, unsure of how to respond. Should she be friendly, or keep it short and sweet?
"Oh, hi, Greg ," she said, trying to sound neutral. "I'm just headed back to my dorm."
Greg nodded. "Oh, okay. I'm headed home myself, from there to eatry" Greg said .
A look of puzzlement crossed Chole's face as she said, "I don't understand. If you did not to the eatery, you will go to restaurant ? Can't you just eat at home?"
"I cause I don't know how to cook," he said slowly, "but I thought it would be nice to hang out with you."
Chole sighed. "I appreciate that, but I'm just not up for it right now," she said. "I'm sorry,i prefer to cook my own food"
"Well then, why don't you cook for me,then ?"Greg said
She stared at him, her mouth agape.
"What?!" she exclaimed. "You want me to cook for you?" Greg's face was impassive, but his voice held a note of pleading. "
Yes, I want you to cook for me. Please?" he said. Chole was taken aback. She had never been asked to cook for anyone before, and she wasn't sure what to say.
