Just as the masked man was about to pull the trigger, the door flew open and Raymond burst into the room. He moved with lightning speed, tackling the man to the ground and wrestling the gun out of his hand.
He struck the masked man with a fierce blow, knocking him unconscious. The room was silent, save for the sound of their ragged breathing.
"Are you okay?" Raymond asked, turning to Gita. She was frozen in place, her eyes wide with fear and shock.
"I... I think so," she stammered, her voice trembling.
"I'm going to call the police," Raymond said, reaching for his phone.
"No, don't!" Gita said, grabbing his arm. "Please don't leave me."
Tears were streaming down her face, and her body was shaking. Raymond put his phone away and pulled Gita into a tight hug.
"It's okay," he said, his voice soothing. "I'm here for you. You're safe now."
Gita buried her face in his chest, clinging to him like a lifeline.
Raymond looked deep into Gita's eyes, and a warm, tingling sensation spread through her body. He leaned in and kissed her, softly at first, then with more intensity.
Gita's heart was racing, and she couldn't help but kiss him back. She felt safe in his arms, and for the first time since the masked man had entered the room, she felt like she could breathe.
The kiss seemed to last forever, but eventually they pulled away, their eyes still locked on each other.
"I love you," Raymond said, his voice filled with emotion. "I promise I will never let anyone hurt you again."
He cupped her cheek in his hand, his thumb gently caressing her skin. She closed her eyes and leaned into his touch, savoring the feeling of being safe and loved.
"I love you too," she said, opening her eyes and gazing up at him. "I'm so grateful that you were here to protect me."
They stood there, holding each other, their hearts beating in perfect sync.

{ police station}"Why would you do something like this?" Gita asked, her voice trembling with emotion.
"You know why," Regina said, her eyes cold and hard. "You know what you did."
"I'm not a bad person," Gita protested. "I've never hurt anyone. Why are you doing this to me?"
"You're a liar," Regina said, her voice full of venom. "You know exactly what you did, and now you're going to pay the price."
Gita felt the blood drain from her face. She knew she was innocent, but could she convince Regina of that?
"It's because I'm dating Ray, isn't it?" Gita said, her voice trembling with anger.
"Yes, that's the reason," Regina said, her eyes glinting with malice.
"You disgust me," Gita said, her heart pounding with rage. "How could you do this to me?"
She turned and stormed out of the room, tears of fury and hurt streaming down her face. She couldn't believe that Regina had stooped so low.
"If you ever try to hurt my girl again," Raymond said, his voice low and dangerous, "I promise you'll spend the rest of your life rotting in a jail cell. You hear me?"
Without waiting for a response, he turned and walked out the door, his fists clenched and his heart pounding.
Regina stood there, frozen in place, her face pale and her chest heaving. She had never seen such a look of pure hatred before, and it scared her more than she cared to admit.
