Please, Regina, don't do this," Raymond pleaded, his voice trembling. "You'll only make things worse for yourself if you kill her."

"I don't care!" Regina shouted, her finger tightening on the trigger. "I want her dead, and nothing you can say will change my mind."

Just then, the sound of police sirens filled the air, growing louder and louder as they drew closer. "You're surrounded, Regina," Raymond said, his eyes locked on hers. "It's over."

"No, it's not over," Regina said, her voice filled with rage. "If I go down, she'll go down with me." With that, she pulled the trigger, firing a bullet into Gita's chest.

Gita gasped as she felt the pain rip through her body. She stumbled back, hitting the ground as she clutched her chest.

"No!" Raymond screamed, rushing to her side.

He cradled her in his arms, trying to stop the bleeding, but it was too late. Gita's eyes fluttered closed, and she was gone.

As Regina tried to make her escape, Greg lunged forward and tackled her to the ground.

"Let me go!" she screamed, struggling to break free.

But Greg held her tight, his arms like steel around her.

"It's over, Regina," he said, his voice filled with a mix of anger and sadness. "You're going to pay for what you've done."

Just then, the police arrived, surrounding them.

"Drop your weapon and put your hands behind your head," one of the officers shouted, pointing a gun at Regina. Slowly, she put her gun down and raised her hands.

As Gita was rushed to the hospital, Raymond was left sobbing on the ground. Alex knelt down next to him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"It's going to be okay," "Gita's strong. She'll pull through."

Raymond looked up at him, his eyes red and puffy.

"I just can't believe this happened," he said, his voice shaking. "I should have been there to protect her. I should have done something."

"You couldn't have known," Alex said, his voice full of compassion.

"Gita!" Ella cried, rushing to her friend's side. Ariel, Jonna, and Chloe followed close behind, all of them looking anxious and scared.

"Is she going to be okay?" Chole asked, her voice trembling. "What's the latest?"

A doctor emerged from the room, looking solemn. "I'm sorry," the doctor said, his voice low and heavy. "I'm afraid we lost Gita."

The words hit Raymond like a ton of bricks. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"What do you mean?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "She can't be gone. There must be some mistake."

"I wish there was," the doctor said, his eyes full of sympathy. "But I'm afraid she's gone."

"No!" Chloe sobbed, her tears flowing freely. "Gita can't be gone. I won't accept it."

"I know it's hard to believe," the doctor said, his expression full of understanding. "But I'm afraid the evidence is clear."

Ariel and Jonna both looked devastated, their eyes red and swollen with grief.

"How could this happen?" Ariel asked, her voice cracking. "How could Gita be gone?"

The doctor shook his head, unable to provide a satisfactory answer. "Sometimes these things are just beyond our control," he said.

"No!" Raymond yelled, his voice full of rage and anguish. "This can't be happening!"
